Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."
Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.
"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

Some “Change” indeed! God help us!
Actually, I’m surprised that Bush even THOUGHT anybody associated with Obama would keep his mouth shut.
” If Obama had any character (which, of course, he doesnt) he would find out who is doing the leaking and fire them now.”
He’d have to fire himself, as he’s the only one who knows what was said, and would obviously have to tell one of his staff.
Per the story... "The two met at the White House in private, without staff."
He would have to fire himself.
Exactly! If the RNC was smart, which they are not, they'd advertise commericals on TV as soon as the tax cuts expire that say: "Obama just raised taxes on all of you low income and middle income taxpayers!" And run those commericals non stop for months!
You are soooo on target. I am, currently, watching the Al Franken thievery getting ready to take place. As I hear those familiar phrases like “undervotes” and “the intent of the voter” I still relish the victory of George W Bush in 2000. That was the one time that conservatives were somewhat militant down there in Florida and we were all fired up.
As to W’s verbal slips, everyone knew the INTENT of what he was conveying and that’s all that matters, isn’t it?
What a lowlife!
As we sing and cheer "Hell to the Thief!"
Just the idea of Obama sharing secrets with Bill Ayers should have stopped Americans from voting for him.
We cannot say that voters weren’t warned.
The Free-Trade pact with Colombia will expire Dec 31 2008, if Congress does not sign the Treaty - which they refuse to do, in deference to American unions.
Colombia is our best ally in South America, so the refusal of American democrats to cement this alliance is very ominous.
The idea that Bush was willing to negotiate with Congress as a last resort to get the Treaty was already in the news, before this meeting with O. But for O to make it public is proof to the world that his lips cannot remain sealed, if he chooses to blab.
I liked Laura’s “this old thing” dress, too!
“Its the media at fault. Blinded by OBAMA...”
But, it’s okay. He’s black! Racism is over! The future is bright! Trust in Opossum.
Which is exactly what I will tell the panhandlers on the street.
“Actually he READS well!! Without his teleprompter - he stutters & is a terrible speaker.”
An apt description of the talking-head anchors on the nightly news as well.
It was a test to see if Obama could keep his mouth shut . . . . he failed.
This is why those Obama voters DON’T CARE.
Rich people will be FORCED to pay for their mortgages and for their gasoline.
HECK why not a new GM car?
Unemployment benefits will get extened.
need more money? PRINT MORE!
money is worthless? make a law making it worth something? (aka nationalize pricing)
This is slavery via velvet chains.
This is “Generation LAZY” all fUN no work. (see brave new world)
I predict that one thing will continually elude Barry: respect from others.
Time for President Bush to have the Justice Department, challenge Hussein Obama to show proof he’s qualified to assume the office of President?
On behalf of all Americans, and the US Constitution.
Democrats make up the rules as they go along. I keep hearing congressmen come on Hugh Hewitt’s show and say that they trust the recount methods in Minnesota - and yet these congressmen do not even know that “the intent of the voter” not the FILLED IN BUBBLE is going to be what is counted.
I just want to scream at our ill-informed Republican representatives.
