Palin Blames Bush for Election Loss AOL posted: 7 MINUTES AGO

Nov. 10) - Why did the Republicans lose the presidential election? Sarah Palin, the party's vice presidential candidate, lays the blame at the feet of the Bush administration.

In an interview with the Anchorage Daily News and KTUU Channel 2, Palin says, " I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years ... So people desiring change I think went as far from the administration that is presently seated as they could. It's amazing that we did as well as we did."

During the interview, which was conducted in her home in Wasilla, she described the "amazing" experience of running for vice president and took issue with "misinformation" that surfaced about her during the campaign. The Daily News also provides some video excerpts here.

The ticket did well because of you, Governor Palin. Thank you for that. Looking forward to seeing you on the ticket again.

...too much of what had gone on in these last eight years...

For once I disagree with her. It wasn't just the last eight years, but the failure of the McCain campaign to compare the GOP economy to the Pelosi economy, that did them in.

Basically, for a Repub to do as well as McCain-Palin did in an MSM environment that relentlessly lied and bashed Bush for years shows that the country is not as left as many are saying.

If the truth had been told by the liars in the media, the Repubs would have won in a literal landslide, not this smallish margin that Hussein got.

The MSM are a real evil. Turn off your Matthews, Olberman, Scarborough and Couric's for good, FReepers.

The MSM will do anything to make her look petty. The headline is an interpretation, an embellishment of what she said. She did not “Blame Bush”.

She is absolutely correct. And I feel his advisers were in the tank. They stunk.

The MSM lied about Bush, but Bush didn’t do us any favors either.

The blame on Bush is telling, apparently not even Palin gets it.

This election was won on the basis of tax cuts and give away liberal programs(read socialism).

Many sheeple are convinced McCain was going to raise taxes more than O Hussein will.

Let's see what they think in four years.

" I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years "

yeah, bending over and reaching across the aisle and along with the help of the MSM losing credit for anything good and getting blame for everything that led to our current situation

To me, it appears she was blaming her running mate.

Agreed. And very concisely said.

Who wrote this headline?
Palin is not “blaming Bush.” My reading is that she is “blaming” the Democrat-media inspired “status quo” and its Bush-McCain linkage.

They did as well as they did primarily because of her, not because of him. At least that’s my educated guess based on reading some of the exit polls and post-election polls by Rasmussen.

She didn’t say “Blame Bush.” That’s the media spin on it.

She got 20% points over the president’s approval rating. I think she’s right.

All he did was keep us safe for 8 years.

Shame on him.

Exactly. When she says “Republican ticket...” — hey, Bush wasn’t ON the Republican ticket, McCain was.

Hell, I don’t even blame McCain. I blame each and every person on OUR side who was dumb enough to vote for him as our candidate in the primaries. I mean, in what alternate universe could anyone imagine a grouchy, old, far-from-inspiring RINO would win ANYTHING?

As someone else said, the only reason we got anywhere (and we didn’t - in fact, we lost EVERYTHING) is because Sarah Palin was on the ticket. Without her, even *I* would been tempted to sit this one out.
