The young people will never come out to vote, even for Barack Obama. They're the most unreliable demographic. They'd rather play video games.
That was the underlying message from pundits in the months leading up to the presidential election. History showed that the youngest voters don't show up to the polls in masses.
That changed Tuesday, when, for the first time since 1972, at least half of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 voted, according to preliminary statistics from the Center of Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement.

Okay, then the total vote was the same as 2004. This must mean that the elders are staying home or in their graves on election day.............
Did they actually show up and vote, or did someone send in a mail-in ballot with their name on it?
It’s obvious that a lot of potential Republican voters stayed home.
But I thought I heard that the level of youth voting only went up slightly, like from 15 to 18 per cent?
Watch for Democrats to push for more and more early (and easy) voting, so that you can vote for Obama by 2009 for the 2012 election.

I saw it first hand at my polling place. Kids and aging hippies I did not even know lived in my zip code. I wish I could have recorded their inane and clueless conversation on the election.
I noted that they seemed to only vote on the presidential race too as they took all of two seconds at the machine.
I worked the polls on Nov. 4th and I was amazed how many first time youth voters showed up. It was taking the sheep to slaughter. Had several ask if they could just vote for the president. You could tell that they just wanted to be part of the “movement”. The supervisor was a rat and she would tell these 18 year olds that they could if the wanted to just vote for the president. I knew what she was doing. Had Obama staffers out front along with an attorney all day “helping” these young voters as they came in. Are precinct had 1,100 regestered voters and is a staunch republican precinct. McCain won 57% to 43%. Too many pub’s voting for 0.
Our dead don’t vote in huge numbers.....
My niece tells me that students were trading votes at school. Register to vote at home and register to vote where they go to school and match them with someone who could vote in one place while they voted in the other.
Unbelievable fraud in this election and it’s going to go unpunished so it can grow even more.
It only takes 2 seconds to vote a straight ticket.
However the image of “young skulls full of mush” remains...
And they had no idea that the congress that had a 9% approval rating was run by democrats. On top of that, the people in charge of making sure financial agencies were on the up and up were democrats. But why should facts get in the way of voting blindly?
The machines don’t do that here.
I saw them click on the first screen and forward forward forward to the end.
Liberals are planting these false stories throughout the media. We should compile a list of suspect journalists who are involved in the cover-up of the vote fraud.
I can’t wait to hear their reaction when their president tells them they *must* serve, whether they like it or not. It would also be awfully ironic if he proposed a draft, wouldn’t it? I’d almost love to see it.
I lost a good conservative congressman this time out. The sad thing was that the local paper said that he was a good representative but he didn’t bring enough pork to the district so they endorsed the democrat who was going to “change” things.
In Texas you can vote a straight ticket and then go back and reverse some votes if you choose or leave it all one party.
