There is a raging storm brewing over the ever changing content of the America Serves section Obama’s president elect website http://change.gov/. The short version of the story is that at the first whiff of outrage to Obama’s required service programs web pages have been changed quicker than the sheets at the Emperors Club. The programs have been described from being called a draft to slavery.

We keep hearing he will avoid mistakes of early Clinton years but coming in prepared. Then we also hear there will be a Big Bang of stuff that all looks partisan and leftist. Those two things contradict one another. Clinton overreached and we got 1994. Of course we had Newt in Congress then and have nothing like that now.
My guess and its only a guess that Obama will try to avoid Hillary’s mistake and try to fool the sheeple as he rams socialism down our throats. He conned his way into the WH after all. He is cunning. So don’t count on a 1994 just yet.
I would submit that they may very well have purposely looked for the criticism so that they would show that they are "in tune", know how to "compromise" and are trying to be "bipartisan".
I have to come to that conclusion because I simply find it hard to believe that they would be stupid enough to show their hand so openly. Then again arrogance does have it's blinding side.

I don't think she was talking to deadbeat Dem voters. I think she was talking to the productive Americans, like us and our kids. "From each according to their abilities."
Yes, because he says that citizenship is not an entitlement, it’s a responsibility. And because of terrorism, American citizens aged 18-25 will be required to train and be prepared. He says this program will bridge together economic classes.
I also think Obama’s staff is monitoring our site and others. Should we hold cards closer to the chest? He can remove things from his site before they get on the general radar and we end up looking reactionary. I called and emailed my rep when this came up, but by the time my rep’s staff looks it it up, the original verbage is gone. I end up looking stupid.
I really want him to step in it, but I don’t know how to communicate with like minded others without communicating to the opposite side. We give him a heads up unintentionally.
Aren’t things removed from a site still available through google?
The only thing that surprises me about this, is the appearance that Obama is backing down, or at least back tracking, on all his mandatory Service Corps schemes
Not sworn in yet. The CHANGE(s) coming will most likely be absolutely breathtaking in both the speed and the manner in which they are implemented.
The illusion is that he is ‘backing down’. Don’t want to get the citizenry in an uproar (yet).
Please look at the video I posted on post #6 and go to time 5:22. Rahm Emmanuel gave an interview (a while back)discussing required service in his book The Plan. It specifically discusses these things, and I believe it is what Obama is referring to.
Later in the interview, he also refers to removing the existing 5 tax provisions and replacing them with one. I really recommend you watch a few minutes of it.
It’s hard to believe that Mr. Turkeyneck made that statement. He’s gonna be on the re-education list.

Wow. I couldn’t watch but a couple of minutes of that video. I thought Terry McAuliffe and James Carville were stinkers, but Rahm Emanuel is just plain MEAN. What an aggressive attitude he has! Body language, eye rolls...he’s a know-it-all, better-than-everyone first-class JERK.

The 3 months of “boot camp” will be used to identify the Obamite punks that can be counted on to rat out their parents, kick down doors to take your guns, do the dirty work in the concentration/slave labor camps, etc. The reluctant ones will also be identified for further re-education.
