Many executives view the president-elect with a wary eye
[snip}
Many in business, though, still view the president-elect with a wary eye. (Perhaps the markets do as well: The Dow dropped more than 400 points the day after Obama's election.) Indeed, if a recent survey by Chief Executive magazine is any indication, Obama has his work cut out for him in wooing America's executives. In a survey of 751 CEOs published in October, the magazine found that 74 percent feared the consequences of an Obama presidency versus just 19 percent who worried about John McCain assuming the Oval Office. The surveyed executives feared that Obama's emphasis on big government and his plans to hike capital-gains taxes on big earners would stifle growth and job creation. They also worried he doesn't understand the links between trade and growth well and that he will not be aggressive enough in solving America's immediate energy crisis.
{snip}
Yet even as the economy tanked and the financial sector bailout sent the deficit hurtling toward $1 trillion, Obama has offered little insight into how he will accomplish all of those ambitious goals. What are Obama's top economic priorities, and what will he tackle first? How might they change in light of the ever-worsening budget? Will there really be money available to plow into education, health care, and infrastructure and if so, when will it come?

He doesn't plan to “woo” them. If I understand it correctly, what he plans to do to them, rhymes with woo and is usually done with a ‘driver.
How bad could it be?
With economic advisers like L.A.’s tony villareconquista who runs, of course, the most economically successful city in the country, how could the fuhrer go wrong?
That is like being the best yodeler in Compton.
Oh, shucks...
Now Obama has to pay the piper ???
Make good his campaign promises...
Why, that’s..that’s...
That’s not American...

“Obama has his work cut out for him in wooing America’s executives.”
What? Most of these idiots gave him money. They think he’ll make us Red and eliminate their competition.
15% unemployment within a year. Taxing our way to prosperity!
The demands will be sent with guys who wear sunglasses at night and don't say much. Anyone who disagrees will...disappear.
Obama’s advisors are mediocre. They are called all-stars because they happened to serve under Clinton when productivity growth was 3%. Any moron serving under Clinton would be called a genius given the tech boom which Clinton had nothing to do with.
The tech boom was what saved Clinton’s ass after his big tax hike.
Productivity growth has been trending downwards for the last 4 years. It was 1.1% last quarter. Without a tech boom to cover their asses, these moron Keynesians are going to pick winners for their labor union buddies in the construction sector and their yahoo enviromentalist buddies in the energy sector.
When the economy continues to tank, Obama’s economic and the big guy will be realized for what they are: empty suits.
Out for coffee last week, I overheard two business owners saying their employees would be in for a rude awakening when they received pink slips the day after Thanksgiving. They said it wasn’t just the taxes; it was the possible legislation as well as a possible exit visa thanks to ACORN. The time to get out is now. Unfortunately, it will be blamed on Bush. Maybe in a couple of years it will all sink in but it will take awhile. I didn’t bother to respond to my cheering neighbors, who are thrilled that 0bama will bring lots of jobs to Ohio. I just nodded and smiled.
Granholm-Obama economic advisor?
Re-elected last year, Ms. Granholm recently rewarded the voters by announcing some $1 billion in new fees and tax increases. The plan would charge Michigan residents higher levies for almost every activity inside the state with a moving part. She would tax trucking, shopping, smoking, hunting, fishing, drinking beer and liquor, using a cell phone and, yes, even dying.
Her plan does complete the phase-out of the states hated single business tax, which the Tax Foundation has called one of the most anti-growth business taxes in the nation. She should have stopped right there. Instead the Governor wants to create a new corporate income tax as well as a new 2% excise tax on upwards of 100 business services. The net effect would be to raise Michigans overall business tax burden. Shed also impose a 5% death tax on estates valued at more than $2 millionwhich is a sure way to encourage even more Michigan retirees to relocate to Florida.

A stable dollar would be nice, but nah, not going to happen.

Only for those of us with insight, and enough interest in the future of this country, to actually pay attention.
For the vast majority of Americans, the ObamaMedia will provide full 24/7 cover for The Zero, and revert to knee-jerk BlameBush mode.
Look at it this way. Regardless of any plans that Obama may have, his main political accomplishment is now essentially behind him. This is because, just as Nancy Pelosi’s lifetime political accomplishment was to become the first woman Speaker of the HOR, Obama has now basically secured his place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first black USA president.
