Obviously more work needs to be done than to post a simple thread so thats a given. I also know I`ll probably get flamed by some for suggesting this, I don`t care. I`m already working on "hunkering down" and this Christmas sales season can forget about our contribution, and thats an important key.Christmas sales drive the coming consumer season and they can forget about our money. Look at it this way, the retail smuck or pimple faced whiner that you would be supporting with your spending are likely rat voters, well they`re not getting my money that easy. The web sites didn`t seem to load so here`s the main one again http://modernconservative.com/metablog_single.php?p=2206

Will the government be participating in

“Operation Thrift”

OR is that just for the little people?

I’ve been seeing this attitude more often lately. Is this one of those “fire on our own troops in order to confuse the enemy” sort of things?

I suggest researching and posting advertisers propping up the MSM that brought us this nightmare. I would like to propose no one purchase these advertisers products and let them know why. They supported and paid for the fraud that was perpetrated upon the American people. Same goes for Letterman, the Oprah, Madonna, and the celebrities that used their status to perpetrate this fraud as well. Go after their sponsors. Just a thought to start the payback rolling. Any and all ideas are welcome.

Your idea is RIGHT ON!!!! An organized minority can always win against an unorganized majority.

It would be great if there was a web site that listed commonly purchased items and which companies to avoid and which ones to patronize. If I want a can of green beans I would like to enter “green beans” and get a response of which makers to a avoid and which to purchase. I could care less if it is Green Giant or DelMonte, just the company who contributes least to Obama and the Rat party. These everyday purchases could make a huge difference if the information was readily available and we all used it.

For those who give to charities: My wife and I are vetting our charities a little more carefully and, in general, avoiding any that are not related to our Church, and those whose causes may appear to be neutral but the majority of whose employees are obvious lefties, liberals, or the like.

For example, in this summer's ads the MS Society described itself as a "collective". I know some of the people who work there and they are all libs. They voted to punish those who have enough time and money to give both to them.

The Catholic Church has some outrageously leftie charities but also plenty of good conservative outfits. We'll give the same proportion of our income, but we'll say no to lefty charities.

I was thinking of expanding my business shortly...but now think I will coast for 4 years. The FedGov is already talking about confiscating my IRAs, not sure I want them confiscating anything else. I’m in hunker down mode.

My ideas:
Drive 5 MPH slower than the posted limit.
Never spend more than $20 to gas up.
No charitable donations of any sort.
Under-withhold taxes by increasing exemptions.
Have a non-commercial Christmas.
Boycot CNN and MSNBC and their sponsors.
Gripe in writing about Blitzer, Olberman, and Chris Mathews.
Cancel subscriptions to newspapers and magazines.
Minimalize phone services. Drop cellular where possible.

Buy ammunition and guns. Figure out how to get involved in firearms as a cottage industry.

Before changing your deductions, check into the law. I believe there may have been a directive this year about the minimum requirements and new penalties.

Time Inc. includes these publications:

All You
Entertainment Weekly

Fortune Asia
Fortune Europe
FSB: Fortune Small Business
Golf Magazine

Money
People
People en Español
People Style Watch
Real Simple
Sports Illustrated

SOUTHERN PROGRESS CORPORATION

I will work on more of these lists and try to make them more readable. Sorry, but I was in a hurry, and I have three sons running around like monkeys. :)

Count me in. Under no circumstances must The Marxist be granted the economy we gave the Clintons. It’s time to tighten the belt!

I’m avoiding brick-and-mortar shops like the plague. The next time you go to the mall or walk into a CVS, take a close, HARD look at the people working there. Who do you think they voted for? I have no intention of supporting their paycheck. I found that I can get just about everything I need from Amazon instead, and in bulk, no less. They wanted change — losing a job is change, too.

Buying in bulk, stockpiling, etc. The forums are good, just ignore the Mormon theology if that’s not your cup of tea. These folks have been at this for a long time and know how to go things.
