Russia sees hope of missile progress with Obama
Sun Nov 9, 2008 8:04am EST
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia hopes for constructive talks with the next U.S. administration on Washington's planned missile defense system in Europe, Russian media quoted Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying on Sunday.
A Russian deputy foreign minister said separately, in an interview with Interfax news agency, that Moscow would not carry out a threat to deploy tactical missiles near Poland if Washington scrapped its plans to deploy its missile system in Europe.
Washington says the missile defense shield, which would consist of 10 interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar station in the Czech Republic, would help protect from missile attacks by "rogue states" such as Iran.
U.S. President-elect Barack Obama has supported work on a missile defense system, but says it must be "pragmatic and cost-effective" and cannot divert resources from other priorities until its effectiveness is proven.

Every American enemy sees HOPE AND CHANGE with Obama -— we knew that a long time ago. We may have another Chamberlain and another FDR on our hands (not by our choosing of course).
Sure.....the Russians see progress in their direction. They can now deploy missiles at will and have no opposition.
Obama is lying if he says the system is unproven or that is does not work...

I remember Mathews NBC want ballistic when republicans called Obama Neville Chamberland, but this is exactly Chamberland, to tell our most LOYAL allies, freeed from soviet rule, ‘FY, you are on your own’. “Peace at ANY price”
We need a PR on this!
Hope...with that become a media mantra?
Sure.....the Russians see progress in their direction. They can now deploy missiles at will and have no opposition.

The Ruskies and the ChiComs will now take many bold moves they would not have taken under a new administration with a STRONG ANTI-COMMUNIST C-in-C. I would place a large sum of money on that bet....as much as it hurts to say it, Hillary would have been a better President...but remember, everything is relative.
I hope that at least the Japanese will continue this vital work, even when the Kenyan Clown cancels our missile defense program.
Who needs Pravda when we have Reuters?
Dear Eastern European ping list:
Sorry about the Obama thing.
Sincerely,

The headline should be: Russians See Signs of Capitulation on Missile Talks.
S**t happens.
I’ll bet a quarter he will back off the missile shield and just about every other program dealing with national defense in order to finance all the upcoming social welfare programs he has planned.
The only expenditure in the budget for the military is many boxes of whit flags.
0bama happens.
