Obama team prepares list of Bush orders to rescind

WASHINGTON - Advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team....

Unfortunately after eight years of being politically ineffective, I don't expect a sudden reversal in the last two months.
He’ll have to rein in the mob of ‘advisors’, it’ll be like taking the Jenny Craig bus to a pizza factory. They will want to dismantle everything, and rule by ukase. I, for one, don’t think he has the balls.
I expect at the least something to come out to curb any attempts at drilling for gas and oil domestically. Any orders that leaned pro-life will go.
Like Jimmy Carter it is possible for this man to do so much damage to our nation in one term that it will take an entire generation and maybe longer to fix.
The important thing is that when anything happens with regard to the orders being overturned... Obama must be held Accountable.
Every Conservative in the Congress needs to be up front discussing exactly what the undoing of these executive orders could mean for the country.
Worse case scenario, Obama changes executive orders that were in place to protect Americans and then we get hit with a Terror attack.... What possibly can Obama say? In fact wouldn’t those affected be eligible to bring charges against the president if by changing something that had kept us safe resulted in the deaths or damage to them?

It is going to be a long four years.
Will we spend the next four years complaining about BHO's abuse of executive power that W accrued and applied, rightfully or wrongfully, in his eight years, and Clinton before him, and GHWB and Ronald Reagan before that?
Or will we do something about it, like electing a Congress with the courage to challenge the Imperial Presidency and overturn, repeal, reject the orders, laws and enablers that have tipped the balance of power so strongly toward the executive branch?
(A brief narrative on executive orders in Wikipedia is good for background for those who intend to do battle. Branch out from there as desired.)

Back a ways, when I questioned why W did not rescinded some of Klintoon's more onerous EO's, I was informed that this was near impossible to do, based on numerous legal obstacles.
Mayhaps those same individuals might come forward and explain once again why The One thinks he can get away with this while Bush couldn't??
And W didn’t cancel Bill Clinton’s EOs the first day he assumed office because? I’m real tired of socialism being advanced with every Dem president, and Rep presidents doing nothing to roll it back.
