American military researchers say they have unlocked the secret to regrowing limbs and recreating organs in humans who have sustained major injuries.
Using "nanoscaffolding," the researchers have regrown a man's fingertip and the internal organs of several test subjects.
The technology works by placing a very fine apparatus called a scaffold, which is made of polymer fibres hundreds of times finer than a human hair, in place of a missing limb or damaged organ. The scaffold acts as a guide for cells to grab onto so they can begin to rebuild missing bones and tissue.

Too late.
He would have no use for them now.
Maybe they can grow the Republicans a spine.
Ironman
lol if only.
INCREDIBLE! Oh, the beauty of nanotechnology and the hope it offers millions! Just think, all of this is done without the use of embryonic stem cells.
Ya think?
I can't see them being able to grow back a better version, just a copy of the original.
WOW! Thanks so much for the ping. This is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever read. Astonishing.
I guess I can look forward to even more “male enhancement” spam...
This is amazing. The possibilities are legion.
Yes, but this one really works!
Can you imagine?
They are hoping to regrow hearts.
What if they figured out how to regrow a spine.
People like Christopher Reeves could walk again, without any help from John Kerry. ;-)
I really pray that all these inventions/discoveries make their way into the mainstream, and that they are affordable enough for the average person to have viable access to them. If so, then the world will really have broken through the final barrier ...that of the pathogen ...and we will be facing a future where we have the opportunity to have a veritable heaven on earth. Think of it ...someone with liver failure simply gets a new one, someone with a weakening heart receives a new one without having to be put on a waiting list, someone with degenerating eye tissue manages to have their sight saved, etc etc etc. I really pray that all these discoveries move from breaking news into everyday fact for everyday people.
