CHICAGO | President-elect Barack Obama's private conversation with Poland's president created an international disagreement Saturday, with President Lech Kaczynski saying Mr. Obama promised to continue a missile-defense system and the transition office saying the Democrat made no such commitment.

President Bush's White House declined to weigh in on the Friday phone call between the Polish leader and Mr. Obama, who will take office Jan. 20.

Mr. Obama has spoken with at least 15 world leaders including Mr. Kaczynski and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Mr. Kaczynski issued a statement in the Polish-language section of his Web site saying the U.S. president-elect "emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership of Poland and the United States and expressed hope in the continuation of political and military cooperation between our countries. He also said that the missile-defense project would continue."

I think this is going to be a problem for his entire reign, O has a habit of implying what he thinks people want to hear, without committing himself to anything. Teh American people are in for a shcok, becaue everyone thinks he is going to do what they want done, when in fact he has not committed himself to anything.

“I can, my son is at FOB Warhorse.
BTW, happy 223 birthday to the Marine Corps tomorrow. “

Thanks for you son’s service. My younger son did 2 tours in IRAQ and is getting out in March (thank God). My older son has been accepted to Marine OCS and I am a nervous wreck. He’s got an air contract and I remember when my husband was on active duty during Carter’s years. They sat around with nothing to do cause there were no parts to fix their broken helicopters.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I’ll have to changing my signature line to marinefamilyx4 after the first of the year.

all that you say will be a reality- America will have a Demo ruling class for the next 20 years unless we are attacked which will be the only wake up call the current America understands.

And what will Obama do when Russian tanks and troops move out of Kalingrad and into Poland and Lithuania in order to protect certain Russian populations?

Do we think it can’t happen?

And so it begins.

Lizol, Grzegorz 246 and Lukasz, please know that you have friends here who didn't vote for Obama and who didn't want to see the Marxist elected.

The world stood still after 9-11 because Bush wiped out the Afghan and Iraq governments as punishment. Nobody wanted to be next. Now, with the Incompetent One in “power” (actually Immanuel screwing things up) all of the world's pressure points are free to erupt. Serbs in Kosovo, Russians in Georgia and Ukraine, the Kashmir issue, China in Taiwan, etc. First Fool has no ability to understand any of these issues. He ran soup kitchens for a living for Pete's sake!

President Lech Kaczynski saying Mr. Obama promised to continue a missile-defense system and the transition office saying the Democrat made no such commitment.

Excuse me.

I guess I want to know more before I go criticizing our maybe not born in the United States President elect. I think it is probably normal for foreign leaders to call a President elect to congratulate him and to introduce themselves. But I don't think that it is normal for the foreign leader to report on what assurances were made, if any, during such a conversation. I think that would be up to the President elect. (The proper way for such assurances to be brought to light would have been for the Polish leader to ask Obama to speak about them.) If the Polish Leader made up what he said, maybe hoping to paint the President elect into a position he hasn't taken or doesn't want to take, then it would be more than proper for the President elect to make the comment he did.

I'm not the least bit happy about an Obama Presidency, but I'm also not going to assume that he is automatically wrong about everything.

I guess Obama talked to the world leaders like he did to the US voters. Told them what they want to hear.

Funny, I guess he can't vote "present" now that he's the CIC. He's going to get us screwed over stuff that doesn't matter and avoid the real hard decisions. Then he'll be FORCED to make a decision by our enemies. Which isn't a decision at all but a reaction to a crisis left to linger due to his lack of spine.

The worst of it is that now he has BIDEN to lean on for advice. BIden is a veritable Mt. Everest of stupidity that was hidden in the Senate and only allowed on the political porn channel, C-SPAN for those willing to subject themselves to his rambling spew of false "facts", mixed metaphors and plagiarized life stories.

We need to keep an ongoing video and sound montage of Laurel and Hardy goes to Washington. With the subsequent fall out.

We have to keep a record. Because the MSM and press will say that whatever Obama does was double plus good and everything else was Bush's and the Republican's fault. Just like the current Fannie Mae fiasco. I'm sure the government and the FCC are going to really have to work overtime to squash any real news .

I was at one of Bush's official inaugural balls 4 years ago with a knot in my stomach because I knew Bush is not one of us.

If we don't learn from our mistakes, we will repeat them.

two words to avoid at all cost next time. ......... "Rick Perry"...... put them down, etch them in granite and put a klieg light on those words.

He thinks he can be president. He has Romney's hair and he's from Texas.... so he thinks that it's all set for the next go-round.

He is the queen RINO of all time. He is an iceberg with only a little liberalism and corruption evident, but a whole bunch more under the surface.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Let's sum it all up. His first presser he repeated Pelosi's stimulus package order word for word and did nothing to ease the stock market. So we see he will govern VERY HARD LEFT.

He did nothing but MAKE IT CLEAR he was sending all of the people waiting for their checks and gas money their checks.

He appointed a man to chief of staff that is a thug and a potty mouth that has written a marxist/communist Hitler-like, youth camp book Called- THE PLAN.

He is fricking up national security and he is not even acting POTUS.

This is getting beyond scarey.

Regardless of what he ran on, the idiots of America elected him. I was going to say that he won but what, in my opinion, happened was that freedom lost.

That the majority of individuals who call themselves Americans would prefer to live as a government slave rather than a free individual makes me puke.

But the reality of the situation is that he got the most votes and they have what they wanted. I hope that they get a bellyfull of him befoer it is all over.

Myself, I will deal with it.

Yep. This is what is most frightening. We lost by 10 million votes. Even the Democrats can't invent that many dead voters. The truth is... America elected an incompetent, inexperienced communist as President of the United States. This is what 40 years of leftist public schools, banishment of public Christianity and nanny state public budgets have delivered. We have a VERY SERIOUS NATIONAL PROBLEM here folks and by the time Obama/Pelosi and Reid are finished, it may be irreversible without a very serious public eruption.

At least, we need to re-take congress in 2012. So let's get to work TODAY finding the candidates who can do that. OH, and clean house at RNC and any state party that lost.

Something got lost in translation. President Lech Kaczynski said Obama had big ears and a pea brain.

God, he didn't mention the suntan did he?
