Psalm 43
1Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Father God, Wow, how our nation has changed in just 8 years. We have gone through so much and I'm not sure we are better people for it. Or maybe the 8 years have shown our true selves. I am sad for my country. I am sad for its people. They have forsaken Your says. They have ignorred Your truth. They have followed after idols. And it has happened even in the church. Forgive us, Lord.

Father, I pray for President Bush. I lift up this man who, though imperfect, has been unfairly and relentlessly attacked for most of his two terms. For him, the honor of serving as president is both a privilege and a curse. And leaving office in January is no doubt both a sadness and a relief. Lord, encourage him. Protect him for all forms of evil. Help him to seek You even as his term winds down. And whatever trials that come his way between now and January 20th, may he handle them with wisdom from on high. Truly, if for 9/11 alone, he will go down as a great President. Oh, many will scoff at that now. But I challenge them all to put themselves in his shoes. He was the leader of the free world during its darkest days and though relentless attacked, lied about, and in many ways abused - he stood with grace and dignity and managed to get some very significant things right. Sure, there were things he did wrong as well. But he was our President and still is our President. And we pray for Your blessings on his life.

Be with our young men and women in the military. Their lives must be filled with uncertainty now. Their hearts full of angst. Comfort and protect them by Your Spirit. And shield them from evil in all its forms.

Go with us the rest of this day. Thank you for Free Republic and for the fact it is now back online.

We pray these things in the blessed name of Jesus the Christ, the Risen Lord and Savior, Amen.

Truly Lord, this is a time of great uncertainty, but of this we are sure ... You have brought grace beyond measure to our President, for never have I heard or read that he reviled those who reviled him. And you have given him strength beyond measure, for each day he has arisen to the task of governing his beloved country, commanding his beloved troops, and tending to the business of these United States ... even as the demons from the pit of hell have assailed him.

Thank You, Merciful Father, for this good and kindly leader. History will write his legacy, but You have written his name in the Lamb's Book of Life. Bless him and his family with all good things, both now and in the countless days to come.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

GOOD MORNING,AMEN AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!

“So walk ye in him.”
- Colossians 2:6

If we have received Christ himself in our inmost hearts, our new life will
manifest its intimate acquaintance with him by a walk of faith in him.
Walking implies action. Our religion is not to be confined to our closet;
we must carry out into practical effect that which we believe. If a man
walks in Christ, then he so acts as Christ would act; for Christ being in
him, his hope, his love, his joy, his life, he is the reflex of the image
of Jesus; and men say of that man, “He is like his Master; he lives like
Jesus Christ.” Walking signifies progress. “So walk ye in him”; proceed
from grace to grace, run forward until you reach the uttermost degree of
knowledge that a man can attain concerning our Beloved. Walking implies
continuance. There must be a perpetual abiding in Christ. How many
Christians think that in the morning and evening they ought to come into
the company of Jesus, and may then give their hearts to the world all the
day: but this is poor living; we should always be with him, treading in
his steps and doing his will. Walking also implies habit. When we speak of
a man’s walk and conversation, we mean his habits, the constant tenor of
his life. Now, if we sometimes enjoy Christ, and then forget him;
sometimes call him ours, and anon lose our hold, that is not a habit; we
do not walk in him. We must keep to him, cling to him, never let him go,
but live and have our being in him.
“As ye have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him”; persevere
in the same way in which ye have begun, and, as at the first Christ Jesus
was the trust of your faith, the source of your life, the principle of
your action, and the joy of your spirit, so let him be the same till
life’s end; the same when you walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, and enter into the joy and the rest which remain for the people of
God.
O Holy Spirit, enable us to obey this heavenly precept.

C.H.SPURGEON

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

That was such a beautiful prayer. Our President has been through so much these eight years. Many could not endure all that he has had to deal with.

GWB had the “WEIGHT OF THE WORLD” on his shoulders for 8 years, yet always maintained dignity, grace and courage no matter how disgracefully his peers, some of his fellow citizens and the world treated him. Some Americans should be ashamed of the things they said about this man—He maintained his faith in God and country though it all.
I recently wrote to him..telling him how much I appreciated what he has done and his faith in the Lord- and that I prayed for him everyday and will continue to do so!
God Bless “W” - God Bless America
