Do you have to use the “pubbie” word?

No, you need to adopt a truly conservative politician instead of adopting just a Republican.

You need to see how the remaining Republicans handle Obama. See if they cave to him and support the ones that stand up to the Democrats. This ain’t no bake sale or PTA meeting we’re talking about.

Ummmm..., can you put this in the “vanity column”?
I think there is a “vast-vanity-wing” conspiracy going on — on Free Republic. I’ve started counting the vanities that pop up on the new threads being posted. It appears to be like a “viral organism” — it keeps growing and growing and growing.... yikes!!

Fine. No “pubbie”. The gist of the request is the same.

I am not doing well. My husband is in Iraq, 15 year old son has Mono, shingles and type 1 diabetes. He's under quarantine at the moment and can't leave our property (drs orders) until we figure out and fix his failing immune system. I have just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and anemia and just started the medication (which isn't properly adjusted yet) and so I'm friggin' exhausted.
I do have to say that I'm flatly disappointed with my fellow FReepers right now. People are whining that they want something positive to to to help the situation, yet when a positive suggestion is made, it's met with scorn and derision.
I've never seen FReepers behave this way. This was presented in the same spirit as an "Adopt a Soldier" campaign and shot down within minutes.

Since my congresscritter is Dave Obey, I support a Wisconsin conservative: Paul Ryan.
Up here, northern Wisconsin, during the election all the yard signs said “Obey Obama.” I sort of thought that was going to be the new marching orders.

I’m sorry about your troubles right now, truthfully, your husband in Iraq and your son’s illness.
Regarding your idea, I think it might be too soon. I think people are also exhausted from the election (I think a lot of us might have volunteered) or are disheartened, or frankly, just don’t care right now. I’d give it some time. I for one was very excited about a weekend with mindless nothings.
About your son - that’s what I actually care about more, and I dont know you, or him! My daughter has horrible chronic urticaria caused by some unknown autoimmune disorder. I understand how it is to have a child with an illness that the doctors don’t know how to handle. Please take this in the spirit its meant to be given: Don’t worry about conservative vs liberal right now...you have quite enough on your plate. Right now, worry about you and your family. With a husband in Iraq, you deserve a break.
