Perhaps, this is the best thing that could have happened, NOT!

I have seen pols and pundits of every hue and stripe in the last couple of days calling this "change election" a good thing and a healing time for America. I would like for even one of these gurus to explain to me how an anti-war, pro-palestinian socialist can possibly change or heal anything. Let me expound on this one point at a time.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: newadministration; newregime
The philosophy of the anti-war left.- It is never either right or legal to go to war. Even when your citizens or your country are attacked you must first determine what you have done to provoke it. You must psychoanalize yourself to get in touch with your emotions, and then you must dig deep into your soul to sympathize with those who wish to destroy you, because they would not, could not, do this out of anything so base as simple hatred, or envy or jealosy. Thus, the war is lost.

Palestinians.- If you want to start a fire or an argument in any middle eastern country, just mention palestinians. The usual argumentative position starts at death to Isreal and jews and gets worse from there. But if you delve just a little deeper, you will find more than a little paranoia. There never was a palestinian country or state, just an area on a map that had always been called Palestine. Palestinians are the largest refugee population in all of the middle east and they are afforded citizenship and voting rights in just one country. And that country is Isreal. And they want to destroy it. No wonder that no other country over there wants them.

Socialism.- I find it very curious that two weeks after the Republican National Convention, and the very successful launch of SarahPower, the stock market crashes and the very people responsible for it are able to get away scot free. Bill Clinton, Janet Reno, Jaime Gorelik, Rahm Emmanuel, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Barrack Obama. Does this rogues gallery look familiar to you? And if you were to intrduce a George Soros with his history of currency speculation into the mix what would think?

An open Question, Could any regular Joe the plumber type American get away with this?

I Think NOT!

Healing???

I've herd more racial jokes and racial hate speech in the last two days than any time since the riots of the 1960s. I don't think “America” understands the backlash that is occurring. This isn't good for our country.

I love it when I hear them report on the power of Obama to unify us. NOT!!!!

What the hell are they smoking?

Unify on what? Be specific!

Do they think that after eight years of viscous lies and hateful attacks on all of my positions by the leftwing that I am all of a sudden going to agree with their messianic leader??? Or agree their constant attacks on my positions???

Unify On what even? They are never even specific about what it is we are to unite about. They just chant the word “Unite” like a whacked out leftwing cult and the media takes them seriously. Get real.

Soros drove the dollar up from 76 to 86 to help crash the markets? Not to mention the yen.

I honestly think some of these people are genuinely envious of Obama, no matter his stinking pile of ideas. Their only outlook is power and entrenchment in D.C., and they see nothing wrong in moving toward or praising the left if it helps them get there.

I'll tell you one thing . . . Having a leftist Democrat "citizen of the world" named Barack Hussein Obama in the White House is going to give this country a lot of political cover to do things in the Middle East that nobody would have dreamed possible if the president were just some other middle-aged white guy.

I think all of us might be in for some big surprises under the Obama administration in this regard.

The only way that this could interpreted as a good thing for America is that maybe, just maybe, Obama will mess things up so bad, or try to take the country in a direction so extreme, or there will be some major revelation about him that shocks even many of his current supporters, as to cause enough of a backlash to cause public opinion to take stock of the monster they created and swing the pendulum back to a conservative, smaller-government point of view, thus denying him a second term.

It might, just might, also cause the Republican Party to reassess itself and get back to its roots, and put up a strong conservative (maybe a young, vibrant one with a good record) as its next candidate. The post-Bush, post-McCain-failure, Obama presidency era might end up being an introspective time for the GOP.

Or not. But I hope so.

KLBJ online poll http://www.590klbj.com/ (FReep away if you care) as of today.

How optimistic are you about America’s new president-elect?

Very 15.4%
Somewhat 8.9%
Not at all 75.7%

Possibly after four years of this guy, the entire nation will be so shocked and demoralized that he’ll end up killing the Democratic Party for years to come. Who knows.
