A Song For the Media - A Vanity
Song Lyrics | 11/06/08 | texicanstar

Been pondering Rush's comments and the fact that the media does not know who they have elected. This song was going through my head the past few days by Al Wilson entitled "The Snake". Now the song is about a foolish woman who in spite of her better judgment rescues a poor half frozen snake and takes it home.

The media really knows better for they had all the warning information on Obama and then some. And the arrogance and radicalness of Obama could very well come back to bite them royally.

So in honor of the media, here is the song.

================================

On her way to work one morning

Down the path along side the lake

A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake

His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew

"Oh well," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you"

"Take me in oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

-------

She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk

And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk

Now she hurried home from workthat night as soon as she arrived

She found that pretty snake she'd taking in had been revived

"Take me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

------

Now she clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried

"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died"

Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight

But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite

"Take me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

------

"I saved you," cried that woman

"And you've bit me even, why?

You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"

"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin

"You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in

"Take me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven's sake

Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake

Vanities, vanities, all are vanities.

Politicially, conservatives are a generation ahead of liberals and the media.

They will have to learn what we have learned years ago.

They didn’t learn a thing from the Washington Times, N.Y. Post and Dallas Morning News when they got thrown off Hussein’s plane.

The media knows exactly what it’s doing. Don’t doubt that for one second.

Communist goals:
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

No! No! No! You have to parody the song for a proper vanity.

What has happened to this place?

I have a song that should become this nation’s new anthem, James Brown’s “I Don’t Want NOBODY To Give Me Nothing, Open Up The Door, I’LL GET IT MYSELF”

James made it quite clear that people need to take responsibility for their own lives.

(CHORUS)
I don’t want nobody
To give me nothing
Open up the door
I’ll get it myself

(CHORUS) 2X

Do you hear me
(CHORUS)

Don’t give me denegration
Give me true communication
Don’t give me sorrow
I want equal opportunity
To live tomorrow

Give me schools
And give me better books
So I can read about myself
And gain my truly looks

(CHORUS)
Do you hear me now, now

(CHORUS)

Some of us try
As hard as we can
We don’t want no sympathy
We just wanna be a man

(CHORUS)
Do you hear me

(CHORUS)

We got talents we can use
On our side of town
Let’s get our heads together
And get it up from the ground

When some of us make money
People hear about our people

Gotta grab out a honey
Forget about honey
Do you now, let me hear, hey

Come on, I got to have it
Come on, I need it
I got to have it, come on
I got to have it, ohh

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy
Lordy, Lordy, Lordy
Play with your bad self
Come on, baby
Come here now
Gotta get it

Got to get myself together
So many things I’ve got to do
So many things I’ve got to do
I don’t no help from you
Tell everybody, body else
All of these things, baby
I’ll do it myself
Come on, hey

I got to have it
I, said I, said I
Said I, said I, I

(CHORUS) 3X
Do you hear me

(CHORUS) 2X

I’m not gonna tell
You what to do
I’m not gonna raise a fuss
But before you make another move
Let’s start by taking care of us

(CHORUS)
Do you hear me

(CHORUS)

Kids get that education
And don’t you take no more
Cause we gonna get
This thing together
You got to carry the bell

I don’t want nobody
To give me nothing
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Open up the door
Hey, hey, hey, hey

(CHORUS)

Can you dig the groove
Can you make the move....

(Steve) Hammer Interview: James Brown
A chat with the Godfather of Soul
(June 1996)

HAMMER: My favorite song of yours is “I Don’t Want Nobody to Give Me
Nothing (Open the Door, I’ll Get it Myself).” How did that song come
about?

JB: That song still remains, because of the fact that there are a lot of things closed to blacks, Hispanics, women. There are a lot of people who think they’re in the system, but they’re really not in the system. Uh, any time an Afro-American kid, 9 or 10 years old, can get up and say “Mama, I think I’m gonna study hard because I want to be president,” and have a shot at being president, then we’ve got America. Other than that, we’ve got a name and we’re trying to find out what it means. Uh, one day, when you can go on any side of town and not be frantic, or curious, about what might happen to you, and be at home at any place in America, we won’t have to worry about “Say It Loud (I’m Black and I’m Proud).” We won’t have to worry about those songs by, uh, Joan Baez or Janis Joplin and John Lennon, that they made in the Sixties. That’s what we’re trying to do. We’re trying to let people know that, hey, don’t give me nothin’, just open up the door, and if I don’t earn it, then I don’t earn it. I want you to quote me as saying this — “If I become a bum, then let me become a bum by my own choice.” Then, if I become a bum, don’t label me as a nigger bum, just let me be a bum. Now, that’s pride.

HAMMER: Uh...

JB: That didn’t make you jump when I said the word “nigger,” did it?

HAMMER: No, sir.

JB: We’re talking about situations. If we’re talking about the lower South, they called the whites the “crackers.” That still is there, but hopefully we don’t use those words any more. That day should be over with. We should judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin, like Dr. Martin Luther King said. But now, we don’t
have to worry about that, they worry about what their social security number is and are they paying taxes.

When should I start to pump my breasts?

How much milk will I get when I pump?

How long should I pump each time?

Will there be times that I will need more milk than I have ready?

How should I store my breast milk?

Where should I store my breast milk?

How long can I store my breast milk?

The breast milk I have in my refrigerator looks funny. Is something wrong?

How should I thaw frozen breast milk?
