News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCains loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

1. I'll call BS on this.
In case it isn't BS.
2. You should have reminded them that James Dobson is supporting the Republican ticket for one reason: Palin is on the ticket.
3. You need to give them a Bible lesson. Women are prohibited from holding a leadership position IN THE CHURCH. There is nothing, NOT ONE WORD, about women being prohibited from being in secular ledarship positions.
Are you insane? He picked her because he knew she would help him. Everything that McCain does is to help himself. PS...George Bush wasn't running in this election. He kept a very low profile...just admit your guy is a BIG LOSER!
It's not just the left.
It's the "ol' boys'" network and the entrenched RINOs, too. They were all scared poopless.
They knew that hers wasn't merely talk. She has done the walk.
Of course this should come as no surprise. Having the GOP be the Eunuch's club since the mid 90s was no accident. Hillary's FBI files may have played a role, but, regardless, the result was the atmosphere of "going along to get along", bipartisanship or whatever name you give to the criminal enterprise.
Naming names is long overdue...

You’re right. Except for one MAJOR thing. He didn’t flame “the Pubs.” You wrongly accused him and assumed he attacked the Pubs. He didn’t. He was defending a Pub: Palin. He can take the heat, no doubt, when heat needs to be taken. But what bothers me is that some folks take it upon themselves to be the oven when there is no cause.
Flame on for all the newbs that DO come in here trolling, trying to start trouble. Fine. But when you have someone who tries to show he’s taking a stand for one of our own and you paint him as a Brownshirt??? Really. That’s really jumping the gun. It’s not like he said, “screw the whole lot.. I’m gonna be a DUmmie from now on....” Had that been the case, then I would have most likely saved you the trouble of lighting him up. :D But, he didn’t.
Let’s not scare folks off wrongly. Just my $0.02.

Those bass turds are finished. I gurantee you that atleast 1 of them will try to jump ship for the Democratic party.
And about 15 miliseconds after a supporter referred to the "muslim" candidate. I just winced and bore it...
OK.
Woah woah woah, when did Rush say he believed Palin is an idiot? He spent most of his show b!tching about how terrible Republican’s going after her is but never once did he say he believed this crap.
He wanted to schedule the Presidential debate on the date of the VP debate.
Sarah Palin has proved she can do what it takes.
I will crawl over broken glass for her gladly.
I can’t wait, hope I make it.
McCain has thrown himself under the bus by his silence.
I convinced myself I was going to vote my principals, and write in Duncan Hunter, even after hearing all the wasted vote crap. Sarah changed my mind. I thought a vote for McCain/Palin would help set her up for '12 or '16.
I guess I wasted my vote after all. Sarah stood tall no matter what, and McCain has proven he is not honorable.
these are just volleys in the war for the GOP
Was so nice to have someone to vote FOR, rather than just to vote against the commie!
He should be in the process of returning all he hasn't used. Taking that much money from a broken economy is irresponsible at best. Especially when a lot of it probably came from our tax dollars via welfare payments. Those are the type that supported him the strongest. Those, and minimum wage earners who could not afford it. But they were so spell bound their contributions probably came before their rent or mortgage.
He never has been honorable. Look what he did to his first wife.
That's only fair.
In California I voted for Obama in the primaries, knowing that in a clean election, with his ideological baggage, he didn't stand a chance.
That, and to eliminate the smarmy Wicked Witch of the West.
Thank you so much for providing that link. We contributed to McCain/Palin (once he named Sarah Palin). I think I might demand our $$ back as well.
Just wow...
Palins the only reason you got one dime out of me.
Same here! >:-(
You have got to be kidding, right?
NOWHERE was McCain ever considered a strong candidate and he would have sunken if not for Palin. Look at vote totals and tell me he was strong.
McCain is not to blame here.
Absolutely is. He ran a poor campaign and wasnt even the favorite Republican candidiate, just the one left standing. He was the problem and his organization was to blame. That means him.
