News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCain’s loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

Now I am really ashamed I voted for Juan. Yes, Juan!! My daughter did the right thing & voted Indy—Alan Keyes, rodeomama & we are white. A friend said he just could not mark the dot for Juan and voted Ron Paul. So I feel like an a$@holess worse than in ‘72 when I was beginning to hate the Dems, yet still went, with clothespin and voted for the fool McGovern. Juan could have defended Sarah against the viciousness of the Fourth Estate Pimps & Whores—he could now at least speak out. Don’t tell me he didn’t know what these girliemen advisors were up to. BS.

Yeah, right...now all you McCain haters come out of the woodwork and the man who served his country heroically, is now a “traitor” in the opinion of most of you. He didn’t have to pick her, did he? He did and he constantly defended her against attacks (as recently as the day before)...direct your hatred somewhere else. How about to the real culprit who lost this election for the GOP: George W(orse) Bush!

Media is in full attack mode trying to further destroy Palin.

I know Obama voters and Palin scares the crap out of them and they see her as the number one threat in America - to the Communist agenda.

Without her, McCain would have been speaking to crowds of about 15 members at local VFWs.

That's true. As an aside, I had my tea this am in my little Sarah Palin commemorative mug - it's adorable, lol.

The fact that McCain refuses to refute these lies negates your theory.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

She was a weak VP candidate paired up with an even weaker Presidential candidate.

I’m surprised they got 56 million votes.

Cameron said ANONYMOUS sources. He could have made it all up.

Anytime the term "anonymous" source is used - that is exactly what it is - made up. The media makes up far more than most outside FR know. Dan Rather, rigged trucks to blow up for cameras, on and on. When the media is just part of the Democrat party then it is very difficult to fight their constant attacks and smears. Our only chance is a life long commitment to attacking, smearing and discrediting the media. Other then that, I'm not sure what else we can do to counter the Media-Democrat Industrial Complex.

Charlie Black, huh? That’s a magic name with me. I warned about him being involved in the campaign. He was with Bush the Elder in addition to Dole. Arrogant, smug and totally inept when making the case on TV. The exact opposite of what you want in a surrogate and an advisor. I’m not surprised.

That is false.

Schmidt did not work for Romney and neither did Nicolle Wallace.

Some of Schmidt's past employment:

Communications Director of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Spokesman of the National Republican Congressional Committee

Lobbyist at lobbying firm Direct Impact Company

Deputy Assistant to the President and Counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney.

Senior Strategic Planning Group, led by White House adviser Karl Rove

White House strategist in charge of the U.S. Supreme Court nominations of Samuel A. Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts

Campaign manager to re-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger

Senior Advisor for John McCain Campaign.

Thank you. They used the same tactic against Joe the Plumber. It’s starting to get ridiculous how easy they are using these tactics. I don’t know if Republicans/conservatives have the guts to use the same Alinsky Rules for Radicals on the left. If nothing else, we need to realize what their game plan is and call them on it for starters.

The only reason any conservative, including myself, supported McCain, was because of the alternative and because of Sarah Palin.

The McCain campaign ran a horrible campaign and now that the election is finished, McCain should consider retirement. He is a hinderance to conservative legislation in the Senate and a Democrat in his seat would do less harm to the conservative movement.

I couldn’t agree more. Without Sarah Palin, John McCain would have been beaten by 20 percentage points.

I donated to two other Republican presidential hopefuls in 2008. I was not going to donate to McCain. I changed my mind after Palin was picked. I wrote “PALIN 2008” in memo field of the check. I sang her praises such that my sister drove 180 miles roundtrip to see her at a brief appearance. I didn’t vote for McCain/Palin - I voted for Palin and the senator on her ticket.
