I propose that we punish the FOX Network for its hatchet job on Sarah Palin.
For one week beginning at 3:00 PM today no one tunes them in. We will demonstrate the power of conservatives when their ratings plummet dramatically.
Will you join me?

I am so “in”. Fox news used to be a haven for those of us who detest the MSM’s liberalism. Now they have abandoned us too for the sake of ratings and being “fair and balanced” (hurl)
I still like Fox and Friends, Megyn Kelly and Greta is better after she visited Sarah and decided she liked her.
Shep is a Lib, O’Reilly seems to be on the verge of going postal with power and “the round table” looks like they are either asleep or on downers.
Fox is no longer a quality news source. So where are we go go now?
I’ve had it with them, as I guess some of the rest of you have too.
Boycotting is a great idea but we also MUST pass on these comments! Does anyone have Brit’s email?
Let’s get some of the other talking heads contacts over there too.
And Carl Cameron? what a rat! Apparently he was in the tank for Odumbo all along! His rip on Sarah yesterday was disgusting.

Done with them. FOX news blocked Duncan Hunter from the debates. I havent watched them since January, nor do I listen any longer to Hannity and Oreilly on the radio.

Sorry I can’t join your boycott. I gave them up for Lent - and haven’t watched any major TV channel since that time except for one debate - Governor Sarah against Joe Biden!

Thank you for your reply and explanations.
imho, one should never say never....but, can’t ever see myself getting sentimental about McCain. He was definitely not on my most favorite person list.....voted for him cause Obama was, again imo, 100x worse ...and because McCain was the R candidate, we got Obama. Sarah was the only shining light for enthusiasm.

Done. More time for games with the family and hobby activities. I can do without: (1) Shep Smith's creepy-looking eyes; (2) BOR's "everything's about me" ego (most recently he blamed the financial crisis on himself because he didn't watch out for the folks enough, but not to worry, he's on it now); (3) seizure-inducing graphics; (4) tabloid journalism with an unhealthy fascination for young and / or pretty murdered white females; (5) Colmes ; (6) Sean Hannity's hair (sorry, just a personal thing)...
but mostly just their BS.
And besides, Laruie Dhue is gone. (Someone more technologically competent can insert the appropriate animated GIF.)

We are self-employed as dairy farmers, so we are home most of the time. My wife has it on in the kitchen up to 8 hours a day as she works or as background noise. We are doing a Nielsen the week of November 20, so we’ll see about influencing the “numbers that count”......

Besides this slamming of Palin, a couple nights ago, didn’t one of the Fox people call FreeRepublic a “hate site”?

We are in complete agreement. I supported Fred Thompson, and then Mitt Romney after Fred dropped out. I supported McCain as the nominee and as the alternative to Obama — but I long ago lost my illusions about McCain. Like many with a military background, McCain tends to be socially and fiscally conservative but idiosyncratic and with a belief in government that is decidedly not conservative.

Haven’t watched them for weeks.....That Shep started giving me the creepers with his sudden love for 0.

I listen to Rush, email friends and check in here.
I watch a lot of old movies, I have several hundred DVD’s. ;)
I watched Command Decision with Clark Gable and Jumper (which is a fairly new one) last night.
At the same time I recorded Bones, CSI: NY and Knight Rider which is very juvenile, but I like the Shelby Mustang. >:-}
I did watch FNC (Fox News Channel) at 1:00PM to catch a little Neil Cavuto and FBN (Fox Business News) at 3:00PM where Cavuto has another one hour show.
I have DirecTV HD, love that high def. I’ll be watching the NFL channel tonight for Brady Quinn’s coming out party(Browns-Broncos.) The NFL network has great High Def and the guys cover football well. ;);)

Haven’t yet scanned the entire thread. An exception could be argued for Greta Van Susteren’s show. She has been more than fair with the Palins and based on comments Greta has made several times, she shares the outrage.

What a bunch of turncoats you are. Dont like what you hear, lets boycott. Give me a break. You boycott your family members when they dont agree with you or say something you dont want to hear? Hey, dont watch Fox if you dont like it, but tossing out boycott is petty If they are going to act like the MSM, they should be treated like the MSM.

For one week beginning at 3:00 PM today no one tunes them in.
Why stop for one week? They've supported RINOs for years - they were pro-Giuliani up until it was clear he was dropping out of the primaries, and the head of Fox News still supports Giuliani (they are close friends).
They had a chance at giving real Conservatives a platform, and instead they touted people like Giuliani, and Fox's owner lavished a lot of praise on Obama not too long ago.
To: AnotherUnixGeek
Right now the only major news source which delivers the conservative perspective even some of the time is FOX. The leaks slamming Palin from McCain-campaign backbiters are ugly and unnecessary, but they're news. FOX is just doing it's job and reporting the news. That isn't news, that is gossip.
