Tom DeLay hammers Pelosi-Democrats, “Will run circles around Obama” (More)
MSNBC Hardball ^ | November 4, 2008 | Chris Matthews TV Interview

Posted on 11/06/2008 5:47:05 AM PST by flattorney

In this election night interview with Chris Matthews, Tom speaks about Pete Olson beating Nick “SorosBoy” Lampson in his old House district (Texas CD-22). He also states that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats will further destroy the economy with their increased seats and power in the U.S. House of Representatives. - FlA

- - 11.04.08-SFG: Will Pelosi "run circles" around Obama? - So says one expert on congressional power, former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas, a.k.a. "The Hammer." DeLay told MSNBC tonight that, with Democrats expected double-digit gains in the House, “Pelosi will be the most powerful speaker in a generation. She will be able to do anything she wants. They are going to run circles around Obama. House lawmakers will double the minimum wage in six months," DeLay predicted. He suggested that House Democrats would give Obama "a little honeymoon at the beginning" before pursuing their own agenda for the next two years.
- - PW: Tom Delay was just interviewed on MSNBC. He said Pelosi, not Obama, is the big winner. The House Speaker is the powerhouse because of control of appropriations and the legislative timetable. Conservatives, like Tom Delay, dislike Obama, but they detest Pelosi. Pelosi will control the domestic agenda because Obama wll have to focus on foreign affairs in general and on winning the war on terrorism in particular.

Won’t Get Fooled Again Lyrics
Artist(Band):The Who

We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the foe, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they all flown in the next war

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
No, no!

I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

There’s nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

So they bring a stick...Big deal...

I’ll fillibuster with a gun holstered on my hip...

We may only have a tenuous (at best) fillibuster capable Senate at this point...

Who says they are the only ones that get to have the fun???

There are millions of American I know that would love to fillibuster...

Just think about it...

*** Usually I’d agree with Mr. Delay, but not this time. He has never met Chicago thugs like Obama and Emmanuel. ***

Keep in mind this interview is from election night. It was before O'Bammy won so natch, before Barry asked Emanuel to be Chief of Staff. And I'd bet the rent that Barry wants Emmanuel exactly because of what "The Hammer" and you both said. So you're both right :-)

FWIW Rahm Emanuel turns my stomach. Just looking at him makes my skin crawl. He's sleazy, evil and reminds me of some of the Jewish Wiseguys who are (were) part of the Chicago Outfit. In Chicago not all Wiseguys were/are Italian (and that's all I can say about that).

So in Chi mob speak, Rahm will be Barry's 'button man'. And if Pelosi or Ried get out of line they'll wind up in the trunk of a Buick parked in Remote Lot 45 at O'Hare Airport with 'two taps with a .22' to the head (figuratively speaking of course).

Good comparison. And another Jewish hit man, or 'enforcer', .. Bugsy Siegel.
Though I was thinking of Jewish Wiseguys from Chi.

problem is, some are still around so I'm shuttin up with names :-)

I think we will see some good b**ch fights in the next couple of years....pass the popcorn, should be entertaining if nothing else! Maybe even a little mud or jello wrestling?

Congress nearly always wins these fights, especially if its within the same party. Presidents come and go, but many of these congress critters are lifers.

I’m still trying to decide who’s worse, Obama/Emannuel, or Pelosi/Reid. In retrospect, Clinton and his goons seem quite sane now.

We are going to get a good idea of where the Pubs will fit in within the next week. If they go along with another stimulus package we will know they aren’t going to be much more than lap dogs. If they refuse to do another stimulus package we will have a group ready to fight for this country.

Quote: “Conservatism’s leading donors must look beyond contributing only to traditional channels like the RNC or campaign committees, and open up to also funding outside organizations that can do what the Democrats’ Shadow Party is already doing. New resources must be tapped, and just as importantly, coordinated. “

This bears repeating. We need to modernize the way in which conservatives organize, raise funds and support candidates. If we had an organization like moveon we would not have to go through the RNC and could root out the moderates.

Good grief. All these people will be so miserable trying to “out power” each other. What a pathetic, childish way to live life.
