For the sake of marketing it needs a catchy name. Perhaps " Rebirth of Liberty Agreement" . I'm sure somebody can think of a better one

Here’s why: Because the corporation issuing the contract is bankrupt. No one will sign a contract from the GOP. It’s not even a national party anymore.

The Constitution is the only “contract with American” that any political party needs to succeed. The ‘Pubbies should try adhering to the “original Contract with America” and all would be well.....

Another Contract with America would be a nice publicity stunt, but the GOP would never follow through with it.

It would be portrayed as the “politics of the past.” We need more than just gimmicks. We need new personalities.

Nateman,
In fact, John Boehner, Minority Leader and brilliant strategist for the 2008 elections, publicly rejected the idea for another "Contract with America".
"There will be no effort to try to nationalize the elections." Brilliant! And all while the Dems Nationalized theirs.
He also said "(A)t the end of the day, people will have to run their own elections."
http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/boehner_rejects_contract/2008/07/23/115471.html
Considering he worked on the first one, and the incredible successes resulting from that, you'd think he might have a clue. But he didn't, and we went into the elections facing a National Democratic Campaign like a Junior Varsity 3rd Stringer QB against the Dallas Cowboys. Stupid ****.

I think we need to follow Rush’s lead on this subject. I listened to him yesterday and I think he’s spot on. I also think his instincts have been right on the whole way. He warned of McCain and the rest of the RINO’s that put him in position to win the nomination from the beginning. There needs to be a state by state, district by district effort in targeting all moderates of the party and replacing them with conservative candidates. Rush said yesterday that the strategy will take some time to develop, but he’ll begin naming names in the process, i.e. targets. My thoughts.

Impossible.
More than half the people want the government to take care of them.
The rest want the government to just leave them alone.
I think if the truth was known about how many Freepers get government benefits, it would choke a horse.

The term itself is already too politically soiled thanks to the RINOs.
It should be abundantly clear that the majority of Americans do not vote FOR leaders... They vote AGAINST them!
They don't care what promises are made, because they don't expect the promises to be kept. This is because if Americans have learned anything from politics, they have learned that ALL politicians lie just to get into office.
They don't care about experience or historical precedence on party platform. They care about appearances and appeasement.
They dont care about our constitution, because most don't even know what is in it, and more importantly why it exists at all. American voters today are simply not aware of the fragility of freedom, and they just overwhelmingly voted for the largest contract AGAINST America in it's 200+ year history.
Our battle is NOT about selling party policies to the American public... It's about teaching America what freedom is, why we have it, and what it takes to keep it. Unfortunately, the majority of Americans have taken their freedoms for granted, and now it is time for them to pay the price for their ignorance and complacency.
Republicans simply need to shut the hell up, get the hell out of the way, and be prepared to once again step in to clean up the mess after the democrats screw it all up.
CONTRACTS???... hell no.... TEACH PRINCIPLES!

You mean the GOP would actually comeupwith ideas! That would be almost impossible. How can they claimtohav new ideas when they never did anything about the old ones. The anger on this board plainly shows that we have been duped and it is disgusting to see what little was accomplished during the last 8 yeas of Republican dominance.
They have to do something like this. You know be responsive to majority of the people in this country.Come p with a platform that is right for the time and we can support with passion.
But on the other hand we ju st lost every state North of the Ohio river and east of the Missouri river. people here think all they need to do to get back into power is live up to the conservatism of small town America and the south. that is a ticket to suicide. The party has got to become responsive to a majority of the people including its on middle class conservative base..
