Washington, DC -- Sarah Palin become an overnight rock star on the conservative side of the political spectrum and motivated pro-life voters who were anemic in their support of John McCain. Hours after McCain's election loss, the Alaska governor demurred on her own potential presidential bid in 2012.

No. The Senate is the wrong place for her now. She needs to stay as Governor and run from there.
AGREED.
I encourage all freepers and your friends to cancel all subscriptions to your local newspaper, Time, Newseek, U.S. News, and do not buy them off the shelf. Boycott the media into bankruptcy.
Carl Cameron from FNC said he would be on Bill Orielly tonight to give all the secrets he could not talk about until after the election about Sarah Palin. I hope he does not trash her.
I believe you are right , Palin is a great pick for the
whitehouse but America showed last night which way they
wanted to go and its not toward God.
There will be a House & 1/3 Senate election in 2010. Suppose Christ has not yet returned ...
There will be another Presidential, House, and 1/3 Senate election in 2012. Suppose Christ has not yet returned ...
I agree that prospects of anything decent happening in those elections are dim (and the probability of that election not even happening is > 0)
But I hope you're not going to just sit around, give up, and wait for Christ to return. He'll do that when He's good and ready, and will "come like a thief in the night". Until then ... keep about your work.
Dittos.
“In addition, how about an organized drive to send individual ‘Thank You’ cards to her at the governor’s office in Alaska..........perhaps in the millions, if promoted properly.”
That’s a great idea for two reasons:
1. It will let her know the large amount of support she has (because I’m sure the press/RINOs are going to start pounding at her as the reason we lost.)
2. Your return address will create a mailing list base that she can use to run nationally inthe future.
I adore her! I wanted to get a “ THANK YOU CARD SHOWER” going to send her actual cards, but can’t figure out how to get it off the ground!

The problem is that the Republican party USED Sarah to run for the Presidency.
No slight to Sarah, but Sarah should have used the Republican party to run for the Vice Presidency.
The fix is to fix the Republican party so as not to stupidly squander those irreplaceable assets.
The Republican party needs to be completely cleaned and sterilized of RINO's. Completely taken over by conservatives, rules installed to prevent infiltration of party or primaries, and only then should Sarah, or similar candidates USE the Republican party to gain the Presidency.
Already there ... I don't even soil my hands with them in waiting rooms.
As a senator, she will be tainted as a Washington insider. In 4 years, we are definitely going to looking for an outsider for President and governors have traditionally been those outsiders. She'll be 48 in 2012. A prime age to run for President.
I imagined her having to wake up little Piper and break the news. “I’m sorry baby, our country is doomed”
And Bristol...no Rose Garden wedding for you my dear. Sorry.
OK, you lose some battles, but you fight on. It's time to develop a conservative game plan for the next several years. I think, at the outset, that a wide variety of voices are essential.
Slate is hosting a two-day discussion of the conservative future among a polyglot group of right-of-center types: Tucker Carlson, Ross Douthat, Douglas W. Kmiec, Kathleen Parker, Christine Todd Whitman, and me.
exist, I would suggest you email this fellow at National Review, like I did.
Ask him why this discussion does not include us? Why is “Slate” hosting such a discussion, and why are they lying.... saying it is a discussion with conservatives about our future?
As a matter of fact, this posting should be a thread here, and we all should email him.
Does anyone know a street address?
You know, every dark cloud has a silver lining. If McCain had won, he would have governed as a “moderate” and brought everyone around down with him, including his VP, Sarah Palin. She would have been ridiculed by the media for a solid 4 years and by the time 2012 rolled around, she would no longer be a viable candidate for the presidency. As McCain’s VP, she would have been put under restraints on what she could and couldn’t say to the media, and it could have ruined her. This way, she can now make her own way, use her own strategy, and be a stronger candidate for 2012. I think she’s going to be even more dynamite than she was these past two months.

Gee. “Secrets” does not nave a good connotation about it.
What is this? The cowardly Fox News’ and O’Ego’s coronation gift to Obama and the democrats?
I will miss her too. I hope we will see her again on the national stage.
