I don't want to spoil futue chances to convert them.
Tell them it is truly an historic event. The democrats have gotten the first Marxist President elected.
When they sputter back oh no, the first black President gently and in low tones remind them that that is racist and it is not about the color of his skin but the content of his character.
Have fun!
If you care too much about what they think of your opinions, then what difference does it make what you do?
What to say when Democratic family and freinds bring up the election?.....
You might also say: “Now it’s Obama’s turn to screw America.”....
C/O The Messiah
I just smile and nod a lot.
I surely do like your response.
Luckily this is not a problem for me. Holidays are wonderful occasions with both my and my b/f’s conservative family.
The solitary Dem friend I have does not discuss politics with me. And I know that capital gains taxes are going to be looming in her future. If she does start complaining I’m just going to remind her to be wary of what one wishes for.
Liberal “friends” and family are dead to me. I won’t talk to them. I cannot be civil with them so I won’t talk to them. It’s over - NO MORE! Thank the Lord I don’t have any liberal family members or anyone in my family that I know supported Obama (both maternal, paternal, and in-laws!)
I already avoid them - why get your blood pressure up and die prematurely?
Don’t talk politics with them until Obama gets into office. If Obama keeps his promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which will safeguard the “right” to abortion under all circumstances, I am going to turn to people I know who voted for Obama, but who know that abortion is wrong, and say, “You must be so proud.”
If they are polite, be polite back.
If they insist on gloating, hand them a sealed envelope that says: “Open on November 5, 2011”
Inside the envelope should be a single sheet of paper with the following:
A gallon of gas cost $2.39
Connecticut electricity cost 11.9 cents per kWhr
There were no reports of electrical brownouts or blackout anywhere in the US in 2008.
Unemployment was at 6%
Inflation was at 4%
Israel was not at war
Iran was not at war
The Iraqi government was in full control of 13 of its 18 provinces
China was not at war
Russia was in the process of leaving Georgia
There was no draft. Military service was voluntary.
There had been no terrorist attacks on US soil for over 7 years.
The federal tax rate on families earning between $65K and $131K was 25%
Please circle one:
I am too stupid to vote: yes no
Try to duck them for at least a week.
The Festivus reaction will wear off.
NOW THAT is a good idea!!!
That’s a great idea! instead of gifts to liberal family and friends, make a donation to a charity, just tell them you’re spreading Obama’s message of Hope and Change.
The Democrat party is now The Party Of Pauls. (Hey, new tagline)
I told my brother:
Obama in ‘08
Itolduso in ‘09
I hope you enjoy your free stuff bought with the blood of unborn babies and the sweat of decent peoples work??
Nah, probably not the best if I want to keep friends, but I can sure think it.
Eighteen months? No. The relentless trashing starts on day one.
