The "I'm pissed off" thread
freerepublic | jbwbubba

Posted on 11/05/2008 9:13:23 AM PST by jbwbubba

Yes its a vanity!!!

Who would like to see some Republicans come out and say I'm pissed off we lost? I'm mad as hell, and would like to break something. I'm already mad and seeing Republican after republican come out and talk about the "historic" context of this election, ticks me off even more!! Hell I expected McCain to give a gracious concession speech; but I almost expected him to say "why yes I actually voted for Obama myself". I wish any republican would show some freaking passion, show that you actually give a damn you lost

I can’t believe it. What on God’s earth would possess them?

Belive me, you’re not the only angry one. I’m not going to look at TV news or a newspaper for the next 4 yrs. I may just wean myself of the Internet news too. In 4 yrs. if I hear GOP has anything better than BO, I’ll vote. I don’t need to be informed about them-after all 90% of the Dem voters didn’t inform themselves-and the rest were poisoned with hate for America.

I’m sick about this.

Bingo. This is the GOP’s “Pogo Moment.” “We have met the enemy, and they is us.”

I am very pissed off.. I am excited that we finally broke down the racial divisions once and for all but I am very disappointed the 0 was the one to do it. But this means we don’t need affirmative action anymore right? If there is a black president, the racial problems do not need be overcompensated for through affirmative action... too bad the Obama and the rest of the dems will not see it that way....

You don’t want to know how PO’d I am.

In addition most of my “liberal” so called friends are pretty PO’d at me too for me sending them articles about Obambi and what a phony and Marxist he is. You should see my hate mail from these people.

I gotta get some new friends. It’s not easy being a conservative artist.

I ask one person, a self made, strong woman who hates another self made, strong woman Sarah Palin if she cared that Obambi was friends or cohorts with Ayers, Rezko, Wright, Khahili, etc., and she said she “didn’t care”. She also hated McCain because of the stories about him not being able to raise his arms above his head and the stories of him being “a poor POW in Vietnam”.

I was stunned. Logic or reasons or facts had nothing to do with this election, it was all about “feelin’s”.

God save us. I hope we survive, not just the next 4 years, hell, I hope we survive the next YEAR or 2 YEARS!

I could (and have) go on and on and on, but,.....I get stomach aches and pains.

It’s befroe noon, and I’m already hitting the wine.

They won, we lost, get over it.

It is time that we once again become the loyal opposition. Don't get me wrong, this is not what I wanted, but no one here can say it was unexpected.

We still live in the greatest Country in the world. Elections swing back and forth all the time. And although I am sure it won't be what they expected, the middle American (the ones that swing with the air) will now get the Change they say they wanted. I am sure of one thing, and one thing only, in 4 years the Welfare Queen will make a comeback, and the middle American will see that this is not the country they want, and they will fight to get a more economically conservative leadership back.

Let's be honest, Obama won on tax cuts! Since he has never, ever actually voted for a tax cut before, I doubt he will change in the next 4 years. People will realize that there are a lot of Welfare Queens out there taking their money, and they will want it back.

Think of the 1994 Republican landslides in Congress, they got their because Clinton starting making noises about moving too far left when it came to give aways. I really think this will happen again.

God Bless America!

I'd like to think we're bigger people than the angry and bitter left.

Remember history. Clinton's liberal over-reach the first two years of his first term led to the Gingrich-led takeover of congress. The catastrophe of the Carter presidency gave us Reagan.

Even Winston Churchill's exile in the wilderness during the 30's prepared him to guide Great Britain through their Finest Hour. Chin up, my FRiend. Conservatism and conservative principles are far from dead. Its time to roll up our sleeves and rebuild the GOP. Republicans lost because they had become the Democrat Party of the 1960's. We need to stick to our guns......they did.

Feel sorry for me. I son, a Persian Gulf veteran and currently working in Iraq and making a lot of money, is happy Obama won. He and I will not be able to talk about it.

Senator Jim DeMint of OK has issued a statement that nails it. The Republicans must admit their mistakes and get back to true conservativism. Being the dimocrat-lite party ain’t gonna cut it.

Thank goodness, he gets it.

All that comes to mind is the scene from Blazing Saddles where they are in the jail and Gene Wilder is waking up and sees Clevon Little while hanging from an upside down position. The dialog fits my mood now.

There is a quote that was running around in my head this morning, it came from an English ministers commenting on the start of WWI:

"The lamps are going out all over Europe; we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime."

While I'm not optimistic, I am not dead yet either...

I agree with what others have said, anger is a waste of emotion, better to channel it elsewhere and use it to your advantage for something perhaps MORE constructive later on.

Politics are not the end-all...there are plenty of other ways to get your message across.

Having a need for "politicians" to speak for me? I don't think that's how the system is suppose to work.

Don’t buy Martha Stewart stuff. I am not sure if it was on Cavuto show that she said we should just suck it in when Cavuto pointed out the higher taxes some will have to pay under an obama administration.
Okay, more taxes, less money to spend, so boycott martha stewart.

The population grew by about 12% and the voter rolls grew as well, but I find it hard to believe that the voter rolls of registered Republicans grew by 45% in the past twelve years.

That's roughly how much they would have to have grown in order for McCain's 55MM to represent a lower turnout than Dole's 39MM.

No purchases of big-ticket, taxable items. Increasing the number of my exemptions and sheltering more income from taxes. Doing business with individuals on a cash or barter basis. No charitable donations (sending their solicitations back with a "get your money from Obomba" note). Limiting purchases to the basics (food, clothing shelter). For the first time, becoming a firearm owner.

Politically, all I can do is urge the Senate to filibuster everything, and I mean everything (nominations, legislation, resolutions, whatever) Oscumbum sends up. Undermine everything Obomba tries to do. Belittle everything he does. Make fun of him and his supporters. IOW, do everything the libs have done to us and Bush these last eight years. See how they like it.

I just liquidated my mutual funds.

Probably a very good idea considering the economic outlook. Here is an article about the coming credit collapse and the potential for Dow 4000.
