According to exit poll results released thus far, Latino voters voted for Barack Obama over John McCain by a more than a 2-1 margin nationally: 66 percent to 31 percent. The proportion voting for the Democratic candidate is up sharply from 2004, when 55 percent of Latino voters supported John Kerry and 44 percent voted for President Bush.
Latinos are responsible for Obama's victory in New Mexico and contributed strongly to his margins in Nevada and Colorado. In New Mexico, Latinos constituted 41 percent of the electorate and voted for Obama by a 69 percent to 30 percent margin; white voters in New Mexico supported McCain 56 percent to 42 percent.

Puh-lease, Bush did great with hispanics...this election we were so concerned about appearing racist to blacks(who will NEVER vote for the GOP) than coming up with a strategy to make up for the ever shrinking white vote.
NAACP is a worse group and nobody, NOBODY on this forum has called the GOP for the constant year after year pandering to their dumb ass rallies.
I know it may be hard for some people to understand racial identity politics, but it OBVIOUSLY works. Taking the high road ‘race shouldn’t matter’ approach does not.

Until The GOP Writes and pushes a Bill purely to pander to The NAACP for votes like a Bill that supports Reparations or something like that, I will only assume their showing up at NAACP events as merely a dog and pony show. But when they write Legislation like McCain-Kennedy like they did for La Raza, I tend to get vocal like many others here who can spot a sell out from a mile away.

What tipped the vote was the “change” issue. Because we had such a terrible president and spineless legislators, The Democrats owned the issue.
AIDS research benefits EVERYONE regardless of race and if you can score some political capital at the same time, Great! Africa aid is a tool more for keeping Marxist’s at bey while pretending it’s for a good cause, thus buying some good will from the rest of the world, and if THAT buys some political capital at the same time, Great! However, I don’t care how you slice and dice it and try to sell it, PLAYING THE RACE CARD FOR VOTES will never work and even if it did, I want nothing to do with it!

Easier said than done. Latinos from south of the border are steeped in socialism. Which is why new arrivals vote socialist instead of their traditional family values which mirror the conservative postion. These are Catholics voting for the most pro abortion politician ever to run for the POTUS mind you.
How do you propose overcoming this?
Amnesty simply assures, assuming 20 million illegals, another 8 million net votes for democrats based on the most recent election.

Define outreach. Is McCain-Kennedy outreach? Because as long as our borders, ports and Sovereignty are respected, I have no problem. But when folks start making excuses for amnesty for the sole purpose of getting some extra or future votes, then I have a beef. So please define “Outreach”.
