According to exit poll results released thus far, Latino voters voted for Barack Obama over John McCain by a more than a 2-1 margin nationally: 66 percent to 31 percent. The proportion voting for the Democratic candidate is up sharply from 2004, when 55 percent of Latino voters supported John Kerry and 44 percent voted for President Bush.
Latinos are responsible for Obama's victory in New Mexico and contributed strongly to his margins in Nevada and Colorado. In New Mexico, Latinos constituted 41 percent of the electorate and voted for Obama by a 69 percent to 30 percent margin; white voters in New Mexico supported McCain 56 percent to 42 percent.

Somewhere along the way I started having a hard time figuring out who on here just hated Latinos period. It’s not surprising Latinos saw it the same way.
Conservatives stopped talking about Nat’l Security when arguing this topic and came off as intolerant. It’s a big reason I stopped coming on FR until election time.

I don’t feel sorry for Republicans today. They have cooked their own goose. The demographics are doomed. Republicans along with Dems wanted cheap slave labor. You should have done the right thing and now you pay for it. Another thing liberals have moved to red states and are really f—ing up things. Conservatives stay put. They don’t typically move to blue states. You might want to think about that.

I’m surprised McCain got the percentage of Hispanic votes that he did. An open borders policy and automatic citizenship for those wanting to stay should tilt those numbers a lot further to the left. I expect it to be part of the first legislative package, backed strongly by McCain.
Keep it up! The whole “Jorge” and “Juan” thing is sure to gain us back some votes that surely cost us a few states!

Those two will probably help author the next "bipartisan" amnesty bill (enthusiastically signed by Obama), effectively increasing Democrat voter registration by 15 to 25 million. ....which of course would stomp out the last vestiges of conservatism in our country. ...at least on a national level.

Remember way back when in those early primaries...all the cross-over voting for McCain? I could never understand why all those votes were rolling in for him. The dems knew what they were doing.....setting up someone they knew they could beat. Again, thank you republican party for not giving a crap!

Bush got over 40% of the latino vote...McCain lost it and it cost us some states.
I am pro-border enforcement but that does NOT mean attacking La Raza as an organization, candidates who speak to spanish stations, etc are bad things.
Conservatism is dead if the message doesn’t reach new people...see how the Dems have controlled the black minds for years? If they do that with Latinos, we will soon be Soviet Russia
