Obama, unlike Jimmy Carter, is in line with the leadership of his party. His only problem may be that Pelosi may want to lead. Then, too, there are thosde nasty things called “surprises. “ George Bush did not anticipate 9/11. Hoover did not anticipate the stock market crash.

McCain is a Vichy Republican. Always has been, and he rightfully lost the election. If you’re going to go with a democRAT you might as well get the real McCoy, er McCain.

It is time for the Conservative to take over the Republican party and begin the process of expurgating the Vichy Republicans.

Atleast Huckabee opposed that stupid bailout. I give him credit for that.

“be prepared to act”- I was pondering the same thing, but where to start and find like-minded people who would act? I am a surgical nurse and was appalled yesterday as a very liberal female surgeon and female nurse anesthetist were joyful about the possibility of Obama winning. It was all I could do to hold my tongue. The frosting on the cake was when I had to answer the doc's phone with gleeful messages about watching the election returns - hey, we were in surgery! When supposedly educated, “rich” people support socialism, it must be over.

Here’s my guess as to what’s happening right now: Israel is preparing to strike before they have an opponent in the Whitehouse, and while there are still about a quarter million U.S. forces in the middle east which would act to stabilize the region if it turned into a larger war.

Thank you, well said. America is a great country, a great place to live, greater than its leaders. We will survive.

Boortz is a big proponent of The Fair Tax. He has even written a couple of good books on the subject. Huckabee supported the Fair Tax; hence Boortz’s support for Huckabee.

An idea for small business owners: Make note now of which of your employees voted for Obama. When the tax increases hit and you're looking for a way to cut expenses to offset the higher taxes, they should be the first to go. They voted for it, let them suffer the consequences.

I second that. Don't punish the voters who voted the right way.

If you have to let someone go from your firm, cut the greedy little rats who voted to put you into this unenviable situation.

having the right to choose whatever you want.

Well, we're about to get planty of that. As long as you don't want to choose anything of value.

Weeee! Free coke, weed and abortions for everyone! I want pie!

All we need now is a few show trials, and we'll have the full 21st century version of bread and circuses.

The "Fair" Tax is not fair to those who have saved and invested under a previous set of "schemes" of brazen theft. It's just another full bite of the apple.

Oh I see. Because some were screwed all the rest of us and our children should be too. Now I get it. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

It doesn't really matter any more... Something that was discussed in the Clinton administration was a "one time" tax of 15% on all tax deferred retirement savings and pensions. I'm sure it'll be coming back. And we can expect that the tax deferred savings plans will be going away unless you agree to give the money to the government to "invest" for you.

” It is no coincidence that just as the WWII vets are going to glory, our nation now faces dishonor and grim judgment. God is merciful to the heroes, not allowing their eyes to behold this nation’s sure decline and fall.”

So true. My dad , 86 , was on the shores of Normandy. He has stated many times, this is not the country I fought for....

P.S. Yes, he voted McCain Palin in Pa.....

Alaska changed the law after then-Governor Murkowski appointed his own daughter to succeed him in the Senate. Now, a special election must be held within 90 days of a vacancy to fill the unexired term of a US Senator in Alaska.

‘Even while listening to FOX yesterday I had to ask Mr. J if McCain was even running.”

So true. Only after Obama was named as president elect did Brit Hume open up, and talked about stacked deck, unfairness etc.

Also, Juan Williams admitted we don’t know much about Obama so we don’t know what he will do as president. True on one hand that he hasn’t had a full airing, but naive on the other in that he has a clear voting record.

Even Nina Easton had that “ what have we done “ look on her face. I think she finally realized that this guy can spell big trouble for business, small or large, and really hurt everyone in that regard.

Last comment.

Anyone else notice Obama never thanked the Clintons in his acceptance speech.....

I think he supports Huckabee solely because Huckabee is in favor of the FairTax.

Boortz is pro-abort, and Huckabee is strongly pro-life, so it’s kinda weird.

The teacher decides to have an a class presidential election. Each candidate is allowed three minutes to get up in front of the class and present their case as to why he/she should get elected.

Each student got up one by one and made small promises. Then, one of the girls got up. She didn’t seem particularly cared for. The teacher had never met either parent. All she said was, “if I’m elected — free ice cream for everybody.”

The class went wild.

When questioned, she didn’t have any plan to get the ice cream nor did she have any money to pay for it.

The class didn’t care. All they heard was “free ice cream” — she won by a landslide.

Your eloquent and truthful post made me cry for the first time over this sham of an election. Since last night I’ve been too stunned to even cry, but your post turned on the water works. No small feat for me for any reason.

The blatant voter fraud of this election is serious, and I don’t envision anyone really challenging it. As someone posted on the election thread last night, the ballot box is gone, the soap box is next. We are not living in a Republic any more... perhaps we haven’t been for some time now.
