WASHINGTON (AP) — Another state that hasn't voted for a Democrat for president in quite a while has done so this time.
The last time Indiana voted for a Democrat for president was when Lyndon Johnson was elected in 1964.

Both are R in Indiana.
Lake County was obviously huge for Obama, plus Indiana still has a strong union presence. Mainly, I think McCain took us for granted. Palin was here 3 times, and McCain waited until the day before the election to come here. I don’t know who put the idea in his head to spend so much time in PA. when he should have been making sure his core base of states was locked up. Indiana is NOT a blue state, they reelected Mitch Daniels by a huge margin. Unfortunately, they bought into the slickest marketing campaign ever conceived.
Good but it’s not just Indiana i’m talkin about...Ohio’s Brnner needs to be replaced immediately.
We also need the Rs to be more aggressive
Illinois is next to Indiana, and Gary is basically a Chicago suburb. Gary was probably asleep for Kerry, but turned on the fraud machine full tilt for 0.
Obama literally spent and campaigned the state into submission.
McCain had more or less ignored IN until it was too late.
Fraud is a factor where the margin is thin but Obama did not steal this election, he won because people are stupid. Even if fraud put him over the top in Indiana he still obviously close.

some stuff i noticed. In 2004 18-29 was 14% and went 52-47 for Bush. Last night it was 19% and went 63-35 for Obama.
Bush won whites 65-34, McCain won then 54-45. I have no idea how to explain a 20 pt shift in the white vote of a state that has been rock solid GOP for 50 years and even voted against FDR for god’s sake. It doesn’t really make any sense.
White women in particular went from +31 for Bush to only +3 for McCain. Again, hard to really figure.
(5 said they decided yesterday and went 50-46 for Obama. In a 20K win, that’s a big deal, although in 2004 late deciders went 56-38 for Kerry so who knows?
In 2004 terrorism beat the economy 19-17 as top issue with 24% saying moral values. Yesterday the economy beat terrorism 60-8 with 0% saying moral values.
The GOP went from +14 party ID edge to +5. Bush won them 95-5, McCain 86-13.
Both won conservatives by the same amount, but conservatives went from 42 to 36% while liberals grew from 14-20%.
Bush’s approval went from 61-35 for to 32-67 against.
Obama blanketed the state with ads and outspent McCain hugely, and also had a 100% developed organiztaion from the primnary in May where the GOP hasn’t seriously competed in IN ever.
Add it all up, and we are where we are

Rasmussen was right, but many of the others greatly inflated 0bama’s numbers.
I’m sorry, what can a little guy like me say? I did my civic duty, I had a blast too. But you know what you guys, when the chips come down I’m quite confident that VOTER FRAUD will be the last thing anyone in the media shines a light on. Indiana, as well as the other 57, thanks for notihing...
wasn’t there an email circulating that Gary,In would give whatever votes were needed to elect hussein.....I guess when they study this election, they can check all the counties and see if thats’ true....
Some of the national polls were off (Gallup, Zogby), but some were dead on (Battleground, Hotline, Rasmussen). It's true, though, that there was a general refusal around here to believe that McCain was ever really behind. People can remain confident and committed to winning without slipping into delusions.
I have no idea what happened. I felt like turnout was high for the red. This just doesn’t seem right. I think this election had high turnout for blue and was also stolen with Acorn votes.
It was ACORN! Then the regular media in my city would put on a little snippet then told what the candidate said were talking maybe 30 sec. most. Oh and everyday it was the bad economy this and fore closers that it was the same drumbeat everyday. the stock market. I don’t know about your news media in your town but ours here only has 9 minutes of news the its the weather sports and public Blah Blah. Nothing of substance for an 1 hour and 1/2. that is why I watch Fox news or i go to the internet. I want substance. McCain was battling the MSM constant drumbeat for OBAMA 24 7. It is pretty hard to beat that.
