Well you folks, I recently passed the 10 year mark under this screen name and was here for a while before that under another screen name.
I love you all and will miss wasting my time here.... But that is what it has been, a waste.
Our once proud nation, today admitted that it has become a pathetic bunch of losers who are no longer proud to be Americans,
I have written here and spoken to friends and associates that; I don't fear an Obama presidency, I fear a fellow citizenry who would be so pitiful and wanting and niave and avaricious that it might elect someone like Obama to be POTUS.
So I shall find some new way to spend my time, money and energy, and hopefully it will be in an arena that is more effective in defeating the virus of socialism and/or "pure" democracy.
You folks are great and I admire your points of view...but we have failed to a degree that is far beyond where I thought we could go...
Our Great Country needs to develop a new faction that has greater integrity and commitment, and failing that, it is done...
I pray that I am wrong...but you know that old discription of insanity....

God also told us in advance what our final destiny is, and that there is nothing we can do to prevent what must come to pass.
He knows our weakness and knows that it WILL eventually come to pass.
He will only hold it back while there is still faith and the harvest is fruitful. But once we pass a point, then what must happen will happen, and he will not stop it, only cut it short as possible.
It is doubtful that this nation will ever return to the days when faith was strong and well regarded in every day life, when Christs church guided the morality of the community, as it is supposed to now.
Things therefore, will continue to get worse, the clock of God will no longer be held back.

If you want to affect people, remember all politics are local. If you’re looking for FR to be a conduit, you are wrong, my FRiend. I look at FR as a sounding-board for fellow conservatives. No way do we reflect sentiment on a national level. Yes, FR has exposed the deception of the MSM, Dan Rather, case in point. We tried our best with 0bama, but obviously this is not the be all, and end all.
Get involved on a local level. I’m 48, and could roll over and call it a day. I’ve got an 11 year old, however, and I will begin the fight tomorrow. I love him and this country so much, I am not willing to lie down.
If you live and die by visiting this board, so be it.
We will return to fight another battle. We are all tired. Hubby and I are going to take a break from the news channels (Fox) and the blogs. We will only be reading FR until we get our bearings.
we fought not just a good fight but a mean and nasty fight during the primaires.......we are killing off our own...
and then we have the permanent negativism around here from some....constant deriding anything at all...
and then the ones I just love the most....the "independent" thinkers and the "principled" voters and the "constitutional" patriot who would rather throw an election to a crook then vote in a flawed but serviceable candidate...
Rats never have these problems....they know how to stick together.....notice how the Pumas did....nothing really.....they had no impact....the regular crooked rat just kept voting for other crooked rats....they just don't care about principles...
I'm glad we have people that have ideals...have principles...don't get me wrong....but look at the nuts in Minn. voting for that "independent"....it almost or maybe has given us the freak Franken.....
In politics you win some and you lose some. It’s depressing, but we are in a down time now. Dems will F up like they always do and we’ll take over again. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes. Good luck to you.......
Ironic isn't it? This country was built by our ancestors escaping that old stagnant socialist Europe for better life, free as God promised, and they even designed the greatest constitution based almost completely on the gospel and Ot teachings, made it the foundation of the nation for all time. But slowly the foundation has been chipped away, and now the nation wants to return to the hellish ways of old Europe to be forever trapped and ruled by endless lines of dictators and fascists.

On another thread a soldier stationed in Israel was saying this is like the book of Kings: following a bad king, then enslaved, etc.
That post and yours reminds me of the Jews wandering in the desert. When they hit tough times they said “Lets go back to our slavery, at least then we had food”. (And free health care, college education, jobs, etc.)
Give it a few days, then come on back. It’s tough right now, but life goes on. You’ll find like minded people here. Without this place you’ll find yourself asking if like minded people even exist.
You need us. We need you. Let’s not go weak kneed when our work is cut out for us.

Yes, and anger is certainly one of the stages of dealing with grief, and some will display it more than others. I guess it will just have to run its course.
In recent weeks I’ve vented my frustration in freepmail a time or two. Others may need to do so more publicly, and I have some understanding of the motivation to vent.
I would urge waiting more than a few days. It will take some time to settle out. Any voice of reason and good cheer will be needed here, so if you do decide to take a respite from FR hurry back real soon. Your posts over the years have been an encouragement to more than a few people.
In the Old Testament Israel asked for a king and God let them have one by the name of Saul. We all know how that turned out.
Today, America asked for change and guess what, God has allowed this country to become as Israel in the O.T. Don’t blame God, the people asked for it and now they got it. There also was once a Roman Empire.
