Overturn McCain-Feingold Immediately! (Vanity)

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:14:39 PM PST by DiogenesLaertius

It's clear that this crappy bill helped us lose this election. Its time to start funding some Republican lawyers to help fund a test-case to overturn this turd of a law and even the playing field against these foreign-financed liberals.

Sorry Mac, but you already lost us an election. You're not going to make us lose any more.

McCain got exactly what he deserved in terms of campaign financing for this election. He voluntarily hamstrung himself while his opponent made an absolute mockery of the "law" and collected nearly a billion dollars in donations from God knows where.

Campaign finance laws are for Republicans only.

Who knows what a lame-duck session and a lame duck president can accomplish! In truth, I doubt that Bush would effectively un-pass a bill that he signed and that certain Republican pundits lauded when it helped Republicans. I think it’s more likely that the Democrats will find that this bill is vitally important for “democracy”. Expect them to find new ways to scare potential Republican donors off so that they can keep permanent majority status forever.

Unlikely to happen since CFR helped the libs so much in this election and now the libs control everything.

As I said in another thread:

And of course, part of their ‘democratic’ effort was to ‘get the money out of politics.’

Funny how that all changed when it was Hussein Obama raking in the hundreds of millions (much of which from unverifiable sources).

“Money in politics” wasn't even mentioned this time around. It's a good thing when it gets Dhimmis elected.

And let me add this, I supported McCain and did what I could to defeat Hussein. But I was pissed that he was the GOP nominee. He was called the “Maverick” not because of his independence, but because of his opposition to conservative initiatives and his alignment with Democrats. I thought back then, well, if he loses, maybe he'll have an idea what a foolish thing it is to reach across the aisle toward Rats.

Well, they (the Dems and the MSM) ended up destroying him in large part by affixing him to Bush.

Pretty ironic when you think about it.

There is no need to overturn McCain-Feingold. It has been bypassed and is now useless law.

We all knew there would be loopholes. Obama found them and abused them.

We need to close open primaries and establish rules to prohibit rapid party switching. There is no reason for someone outside the party to screw up the party’s choice of candidate.
