So far:
Turnout at GOP precincts has been unbelievable.
In Darke Couty, which went 2:1 for Bush in 04, they are looking at 80% turnout and thousands of additional R voters.
In Allen County, heavy R turnout.
In Montgomery County (Kerry won by 2% in 04), the west side (D) precincts are coming in under 20% by mid-afternoon!!! Our R precincts are outpacing them 2:1.
Reports of other red counties are at tremendously high levels.
BASED ON THIS . . . .
wait for it
not only would I "call" Ohio now for McCain, but it's entirely likely he could end up being a sizeable statewide victory margin. I won't tell you yet what it could be, but it portends amazing things for the rest of the states.
I hear ya, I’m thinking a few shots in the backyard with a BB gun will have to do though. Watching the talking heads explode one by one would be another way to get some vicarious fireworks.
Mahoning County - you are so right. This is the area of Jim Traficant fame. I lived in the area when Jim Tressel was winning championships with the YSU Penguins. Very high dem influence traditionally and notorious for corruption.
If this proves true, lock your doors and turn out the lights, because there will be blood. (And Im just talking about Olbermans reaction)
Can you imagine what Chicago is going to look like tomorrow morning? Freepers be careful.
Susan Estrich’s face in 2004 was worth watching.
Big smile turning to pickled lemon eating pucker face.
I think that “Bankrupt the Coal Industry” story yesterday had a much bigger impact than the media was willing to allow. I think it sent a HUGE ripple through VA, PA, and Ohio!
Please God let the momentum continue.
(Tears in my eyes as I type this)
But how about those 200,000 or more problem ballots? Can they just dump it all in and nobody would know?
Not only are you a lot smarter than all the Mediascum, but now it’s clear you’re smarter than “The Architect” Karl Rove, too! :^)
The RNC should put you in charge of saving the party and the country over the next few election cycles!
Good news but it’s probably because of all that early voting that the dem counties are coming in low today.
They really have poured it on here at the end. They've "left everything they had out on the field", as the coaches like to say. The least we can do now is support them with our votes. I have done so, and I hope everyone here has done likewise.
I want to see Carville put that trash can back on his head!
Sounds like very encouraging news from my beloved homestate of Ohio - now living in the Hoosier State...oh how I wish I still lived in the Buckeye State - anyway - I digress....
Fingers crossed, prayers continuing....go get ‘em Buckeyes - and Go McCain/Palin - we MUST win!!!!!!!
I live in NE Cincinnati (Montgomery). Was voter 320 at 4 PM EST; VERY strong turnout. My impression is that Obama will NOT prevail... from talking to folks at work, LOTS of formerly silent majority folks decided to make their voices heard.
crossing my fingers...

My husband picked up more ammo this weekend at the gun show. I can’t imagine what will happen if Obama loses. They already got the black panthers out at the polling places.
‘angry white guy syndrome.’
Nah, they’ll just say we cheated.
Check it out!
How sad.
Of course I have a question or two for you.
1. Would you, as jla does, favorably compare Sarah Palin to Thomas Jefferson and Ronald Reagan?
2. Would you, if she were, in the near future, catapulted to the Presidency, trust Sarah Palin to make prudent; wise decisions?
As always, thank you.
Yes! I’ve almost made myself sick worrying about this election and when I found Larry’s upbeat posts and he seems to have some insight, I decided to keep up with what he was saying.
