RARE INTERVIEW: Oprah talks about election
Talk show mega star Oprah Winfrey took time out before filming her show on Election Day to talk with Ed Lover on New York's Power 105.1.
During the eight minute long conversation, Winfrey confirmed she would be at Senator Barack Obama's rally in Chicago this evening.
Winfrey came out in support of Obama in 2007, and has spoken at some rallies. However she has shied away from discussing politics on her show. But she told The Ed Lover Show that after the results she plans to "unleash."
Criticized for dismissing an interview with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Winfrey said she didn't want to mix her personal politics with the show. However, she says following the election she'd be happy to speak with Palin if Palin wanted.
During the discussion Oprah also explained a "visual board" she's created to imagine an Obama presidency.
"I was speaking with Michelle [Obama] and Caroline Kennedy and Maria Shriver — we were all doing a big rally out in California. At the end of the rally Michelle Obama said something powerful, 'and I want you to leave here and envision Barack Obama taking the oath of office.' I created a vision board. I had never had a vision board before. I came home, I got me a board and put Barack Obama’s picture on it and I put a picture of my dress I want to wear to the inauguration."
Poor man, must like being kept.

I am expecting to hear the Michelle said Nobama would take the oath of office on a Koran.
I still don’t trust him—IF he’s elected and gets past the hanging problem of no birth certificate—to not hollow out a Bible and put a smaller Koran inside as a coverup.

What I find hilarious is that you can be a Billionaire, and still talk like you live on the street. I doesn't matter to me that she was off script, on a radio program and in a comfort zone, the fact is she still talks like like garbage. It must be nice to be rich and talk like a child at her age. LOL

(This is an honest-to-God screen cap from yesterday; it was broadcast on free over the air TV, so it should be good for the FR, right?) They were actually explaining to Oprah's audience that women don't pee out of their "vag vag" (their words, exactly).

Not as many as it is made out to be.
ABC made a big deal out of the ratings for "The View" being up, what they won't tell you is that they are up slightly in cities like NYC, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle. it the rest of the country they are falling like a rock. In fact in some markets infomercials beat out "The View" on a regular basis.
oprah has lost about a third of her audience since she having her OBasms and her media outlets (her syndicated show, magazine, TV network, etc.) are all hemorrhaging money and viewers/readers. If her TV show ratings tank during November sweeps I would not be a bit surprised to hear she is retiring from it. Why? Because her show no longer generates the revenue it did and TV stations are not going to pay the syndication fees she wants for it plus they will start moving it to less desirable time slots in order to put a better rated show as the lead in to their newscasts.
