RARE INTERVIEW: Oprah talks about election
Talk show mega star Oprah Winfrey took time out before filming her show on Election Day to talk with Ed Lover on New York's Power 105.1.
During the eight minute long conversation, Winfrey confirmed she would be at Senator Barack Obama's rally in Chicago this evening.
Winfrey came out in support of Obama in 2007, and has spoken at some rallies. However she has shied away from discussing politics on her show. But she told The Ed Lover Show that after the results she plans to "unleash."
Criticized for dismissing an interview with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Winfrey said she didn't want to mix her personal politics with the show. However, she says following the election she'd be happy to speak with Palin if Palin wanted.
During the discussion Oprah also explained a "visual board" she's created to imagine an Obama presidency.
"I was speaking with Michelle [Obama] and Caroline Kennedy and Maria Shriver — we were all doing a big rally out in California. At the end of the rally Michelle Obama said something powerful, 'and I want you to leave here and envision Barack Obama taking the oath of office.' I created a vision board. I had never had a vision board before. I came home, I got me a board and put Barack Obama’s picture on it and I put a picture of my dress I want to wear to the inauguration."

Oprah...how much of your wealth are you willing to spread? When your loyal fans don’t have jobs, are struggling to get to work with $5 gasoline and can barely afford to heat, air condition or light their homes will they still be watching you or buying your books?

She will be one of the wealthy who will be spared; she is on the FOB (Friends of Barrack), for sure. As for her fans, they are a bunch of brainless airheads who are for the most part living on the dole to begin with. So, with BHO’s economic plan, their incomes will actually increase while ours decrease.

It was true of Uncle Joe Stalin too. Those Stalinists in the US and UK loved the man and would never speak ill of him or the Soviet Union. Their eagerness to denigrate the US and UK during WWII and their stunning silence in a lack of criticism of Joseph Stalin was what ultimately turned George Orwell off of Socialism.
