I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

Encouraging. It’ll be interesting to see how Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and Virginia go early. If Obama wins all four, its over. If McCain wins all four ... it might be over.

I’ll take it. I just got my receptionist to go vote at lunch. She wasn’t going to go before. Another McCain/Palin vote to run up the total in TX. Have to counteract CA and NY.

I have a boring precinct. There were no campaign signs or people outside the polling place. I did notice the campaign activity zone was moved out from 50 feet considerably. Considerably. That takes the fun away for Bambi zombies and zombettes.
If Obama takes PA and OH he can win. If he doesn’t take them both, it will be next to impossible for him.

I’m in an office of 4 architects(a very liberal profession) in New Bedford, MA and each one of us is hardline McCain/Palin. Though nothing we do here in Mass will amount to a hill of beans, in terms of carrying this state, at least we’ve cancelled out 4 D’s in the popular vote count.
