I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

Keep'em comin'!!! It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings and Hillary isn't warming up yet!!!!
I may have just convinced my Dem friend in WI to vote for McCain. She’s not fond of either candidate, but can’t stand Obama at all. She also couldn’t stand Kerry and voted for Bush last election. I made one last plea today to get her to vote. She said she’s going to try to get out of work early enough to try.
my hubby says the 12 yro MacAllens scotch is pretty good stuff....

Just out of curiosity, why is an architect a liberal profession?

Architects, myself excluded - I hope, tend to think they are smarter than everybody else. They are pretentious and obnoxious with a nauseating social “consciousness” that permeates their beliefs and warps their perspective. Just look at any architecture magazine and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I hate most of them.
Two jackasses, actually.
I think a lot of us here will be crying either way.
What’s the lawn sign situation in New Bedford? Around here in Worcester, McCain signs are outnumbering Obama signs.
“He called me minutes ago to tell me he couldn’t do it. I had changed his mind and he couldn’t bring himself to vote for Obama.”
Whatever happens, thank him for me.
Tell him he did the right thing. I know it was not easy.

Excuse me?
You’re ceding all western mountain states to Obama?
Idaho?
Wyoming?
Montana?
Nevada?
Colorado?
That's what she said.
(Sorry. Had to.)
I’ve already planned it.
Zero signs for the jug-earred Zero in New Bedford which is rather curious given how government dependent most of the city is
I think some of those are quite safe, but when Montana shows up as a toss-up, when Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico are almost considered lost, yes, it’s not a pretty picture.
No danger of losing Utah, Wyoming, or Idaho.
Chautauqua is beautiful, too! I drove through frequently for the last 5 years in Binghamton, headed to Ann Arbor, MI (where the company I worked for was headquartered).
Have they finished upgrading Rte. 17 to Interstate 86?
Yep...keeping the Socialists out of the WH is pretty high on my agenda as well.
You’re right about that, of course.
Oh, like journalists.
BTW, is there an architectural organization that I should contact if I want to add a room onto my old house? :) I know next to nothing about what I should know...and someday soon I may want to add on.
