I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

Good for you.
And tell your friend "thanks for putting the country first". Also, let him/her know that there is PLENTY of room in the GOP for real patriots who care about the country.
We WILL win.
Farragut could see the ships pulling back from his high perch, lashed to the rigging of his flagship the USS Hartford. "What's the trouble?" was shouted through a trumpet from the flagship to the USS Brooklyn. "Torpedoes!" was shouted back in reply. "Damn the torpedoes!" said Farragut, "Four bells. Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!" The bulk of the fleet succeeded in entering the bay. Farragut then triumphed over the opposition of heavy batteries in Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines to defeat the squadron of Admiral Franklin Buchanan.

We lived there for a few years 35 years ago. We moved out because my so was getting ready to start school. It as a zoo then and I’ve been back a couple of times and it’s worse now.
GO bowling!!
Relax. There are many good signs out there. Keep the scotch nearby and whatever you do: do not watch TV or listen to the drive-by media. They want you to be depressed and demoralized. Don't give them the satisfaction.
Keep your eyes on PA. Voted with #1 Daughter in Northeast Pa. It took us 2.5 hours more than twice the time of 2004. In our observations and conversations the line leaned more to the right. #3 Daughter voted on PSU Campus, and #1 Son voted via absentee from Afghanistan..5 for the McCain-Palin team. No matter what Philly does; I see PA in the McCain win column.
A friend of mine who was undecided a ouple of days ago just told me he voted for McCain in North Carolina.
Amen G Man and Amen again to your NYTimes note see mine.
Have you registered the username ‘Depressive_Episode’ just in case? :)
Classic! LOL!
LOL! Ah....members of the Children’s Party...I bet there are similar scenes across the country.
“I voted a bit after 7 AM in rural MI. It was the heaviest turnout Ive ever seen. I have no idea if that is good for McCain or Obamanation.”
I think that McCain should win rural Michigan by 70-30, so that seems good for McCain. I know McCain pulled out of Michigan, but there are some faithful Republicans in Michigan that will support McCain/Palin.
“I will literally SOB if we win today. And then I will celebrate.”
Many will.
My plan?
either way, I FIGHT.
Today, tomorrow, forever.
It’s unfortunate that McCain was unable to connect with the western mountain states, it would be nice to have that cushion.
Yes. What an emotional decision for him. It could have been a joy for all of us if the first serious black candidate were someone that would honor our history and our future as free people.
I’ve been to that area (beautiful scenery) but I’m posting from far far west, in Chautauqua County.
If the Democrats take the state Senate, as well as hold their majority in the Assembly and the governorship, you can bet I’ll be planning an exit strategy as well. Even if it’s 5 minutes to the south.
