Gee, Tim, get a grip! I skipped out of my polling place this morning and I’m voting for the underdog. You’d think libs would be doing cartwheels today.

Aurora,OH - cleveland suburbs

Been sick as a dog last few days had to work from home Fri/Mon/today. Still drug my sorry ass down to the school to vote (school was out so no biohazard exposure to the kiddies).

It was about 2:30 I was suprised even with 5 or 6 booths I still had to wait behind 4 or 5 people to cast. Also not sure I like the option of touchscreen/paper - but I suppose it is at least a choice.

Whole load of state const ammendments and tax levys on the ballot. One on water rights for property owners, but it had some language re public good appended to it to make it useless.

A lot of the county positions were unopposed which was disappointing.

Count another Ohio vote for McCain/Palin though.

Wasn't feeling well but waited 2 and a half hours to vote. Saw so many potential Obama voters I had to stay. Previous waits at the same poll for elections/primaries were 3 to ten minutes at worst. I hope many of the people were there to keep Obama out.

A lady in line was talking on her phone to a friend at a West Ashley ( Charleston, SC. ) polling place. The voters there were informed that their wait would be at least 4 hours. She said her friend told her that one voter there didn't know if Obama was a Republican or Democrat. I was thinking that's one reason lines are slow.

Loved this from the comments section:

Report:

Dead center of Silicon valley:

Turn out great, all 14 booths full of voters with 7 people waiting in line for a booth all morning.

Guess that we had 47% turn out before noon. Two precincts in the same room. We are going to win this!!!!!

You need to report it asap so that it is flagged and counted. Let them check the other “vote” against it, it may be for the messiah. Let them find that someone voted for you - it’s a two for one!

We voted in lower Bucks County PA—30 min from Philly—Blue state. We got in line at 11:45 a.m. The most we have ever seen in any election the past 25 years is 9 or 10. There were 30-40 in line! I’ve been amazed at the number of McCain signs in surrounding neighborhoods—even one “Another Democrat for McCain”.

The last 3 days I did phone bank calling from home—mostly left messages—but the people I did talk to were all fired-up for McCain. My favorite was the lady in Harrisburg who said all the poll takers should be drowned! And she was a grandmother!

I have faith that John McCain is going to be our next President. There’s been a hare and the tortoise aura about him since the beginning! :) Actually Condi Rice was my first choice.

Sheesh, that should be a disqualification to vote.

I hope to God that California goes red. Oh, that would be delicious!

My dream, my prayer, is that 0bama gets beat so bad he develops PTSD and blacks out any time he’s near the White house. :)

Looks like we both had a nervous finger. :)

Forgot to say that as we got to the sign=in table a young woman asked if we wanted to give our name. If so, she would cross our name off the phone list; otherwise, we would get a call after 3 p.m. reminding us to vote! I was so surprised I forgot to ask her who is sponsoring this. We did give our names.
