How's the Voting Going?

How is the voting going where you live? Reports from here indicate a huge turnout so far. We must keep up the good news throughout the day and keep momentum going forward. We must see this day through--tell everyone you meet to go and vote.

Help them see what you value.

Update: My wife went to vote a little while ago and said it was very busy. She voted straight GOP ticket but couldn’t tell who the turnout was for but we live in a red township in Northern Monmouth County NJ.

Woodland Hills, CA - heaviest I have ever seen over 24 years. There was a line out the door at 7:30. This is the 30th District which is a dem stronghold; where Waxman had no Republican running against him. CA is supposed to be a blow out for the zero, so why the heavy turnout? Maybe the initiatives? We have found it interesting that there have been more McCain-Palin signs and bumper stickers then Zero in area.

Md is not going McCain... but a huge conservative turnout will help keep the One's Blue State margins way down. I want him to get fewer votes than John Kerry did four years ago!

RED OR BLUE?? Gosh folks please indicate if the precinct area is RED OR BLUE..reason being all over the country BLACKS are turning out in record numbers and we have to see if we are able to compete against those tremendous numbers!! again...RED OR BLUE areas?

I live in a tiny town outside Carson City, NV. My husband and I got to the polls at 6:45AM. There were already about 100 people already in line - in the cold and wind. This is our first Presidential election outside of California so we had no idea what to expect.

Once the polls opened it was actually very smooth sailing. They had the lines broken up alphabetically and the people working the lines were very good. Our polling place had the touch screen voting and it seemed to be going very well.

We waited in line for about 15 minutes and once we received our machine cards we walked right up to a machine.

The only major issue is that they are having our entire town vote at the local HS. Between the hundreds of people showing up to vote and the students showing up for school it was a bit of a madhouse. Anyone showing up a bit later won't have to deal with the student traffic but they likely won't be finding a place to park.

On the plus side - most of the bumper stickers in the parking lot were McCain/Palin. =)

A 1hr wait at 10:00am in our conservative leaning district in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. That means a HUGE turn-out. I’m a realist so I’m not sure what to make of it

I should have stated that this is in San Jose, CA. Very blue district. Probably 90+% Dems around here...

I walked out of the polling place at 7:33 this morning, and it wasn’t too bad (there were about 15 people there when I got there at 7:20). Certainly the most busy I’ve seen it, but then, my neighborhood has a lot of retired people who will probably wait a bit longer to vote; so it will likely be a lot busier later...

Not too bad a line in my ward in Boston, it took me about 20 minutes. I did an exit poll which was all about intimidation. I wasn’t intimidated mind you, the questions just dealt with how long it took you to vote, were the workers friendly and helpful, did you feel intimidated etc. Never asked whom I voted for.

I know it’s a lost cause in Massachusetts for Big Mac but the ballot question #1 is huge here - a vote to eliminate state income tax. I voted YES!!!! We’ll see what happens

Conservatives turning out in huge numbers in CA will get Props. 4 and 8 passed and they will also help the keep the One's margins in CA way down. Every bit helps.

Wow... McCain will get Western PA by a better than 2-1 margin. Whether that's enough to offset the fraud machine in Philly, no one knows. But its really great to hear your report this morning.

Voted at 10:45am in Red precinct in Nassau County, Long Island, NY and was #295 voting. This size turnout at this time of day is huge and there were two other precincts in the room at Village Hall, all with a steady stream of voters. Had to wait about 15 minutes. Something is going on out there, people were serious, even determined. New York is obviously a Blue state, but I don’t think people care - they’re out in large numbers, it seems, because they want to have their say - regardless. This phenomenon (apparently nationwide) is what we need to see to stick it to the MSM.

I voted early in southern Illinois, was pretty typical group, a steady line. This is a conservative part of state, though many democrat local officials (go figure).

Then I went to teach my college class (freshman reading). Only two had registered and they said they were voting McCain.

Voted at 8am in PA(northern Allegheny County) Leafy upper-middle class Republican suburb of Pittsburgh.

About 100 folks there - had to wait in line 20 minutes, usually there is no line. All voters over 40, mostly men.

The schools in Washoe Valley closed for this reason too. What can I say? The school district isn’t all that bright out here in “tiny town” NV. :)

I voted about an hour ago.Usually the line is short and you are in and out.I waited in line about 25 minutes.Saw some pro-life friends .My neighbor was in front of me and the Obama chick knew her and said the meetings would start up soon-Grrrr.We are in Lower Bucks.My daughter went to vote but had to leave to pick up her daughter from the school bus.The line is an hour long.She is going back.She is in Bensalem Pa.

Just got back from voting in Memphis a short while ago. The lines were VERY long. It took us a little less than 2 hours in line. Saw lots of neighbors there and passed the time talking to the elderly couple behind us and the sweet lady in front of us. They had a great sense of humor all we all voiced our support for McCain. I did see another neighbor that I think is a PUMA, can't wait till she gets back to go ask, lol. All went smooth with the exception of one machine being down. The only thing I saw that was odd is that all the McCain signs at the school were gone. Figured someone must have stolen them.
