OK. You've gone out and voted, like a good citizen. Tell us about it.

How was turnout? Were there any problems at your polling place? Who do you think will win your local races?

I voted this morning. Turnout was more than expected but the bozos had only two booths for an entire district to use. Lesson: Don’t think the long lines mean more voters, it could be they just have less machines.

just saw a polling place on Fox news - it certainly appeared that an OBAMA sign was right outside the door - why do these people keep getting a pass on things that are so wrong? I’ve been trying to email Fox and it says the server is overwhelmed

Today might provide proof that we have reached the tipping point. I’m praying for a miracle ....also thinking about cashing out my puny 401(k) and taking the tax and penalty hit, because if Obama wins, that’s the most it will ever be worth.

at 06:00, I was about #50 in line, and over 150 showed up before 06:15 when I went in the door

It was the largest line I ever saw that early, about 50 to 60 more than any other time for that hour

Due to the number of McCain signs in my area vs Obama, I’d say Maverick will do well, but history tells us Ct is liberal, so I am not too optimistic

However, I have not heard as many eager to vote for Obama, only the politically ignorant, those who seem to be following it are all for McCain, or rather against Obama

husband voted. I’m at work for a couple hours; will do some poll running thing later for the campaign, then vote in the afternoon. Husband got to polling place at 645 and there was a really long line 100 people. We’re near Harrisburg, pretty much conservative area and Romney was here last night rallying the troops...said we need to vote heavy here to make up for other areas of the state. (PA)

Wolf’s district here too. Huge line, I got there 5:45 minutes, voted around 6:35. Lots of Obama stickers on cars. Some of them even had VA plates.

Here in Boynton Beach, Fl. I was putting out Allen West signs at polling locations, and what did I see?!? McCain/Palin signs everywhere.... some were too close and were pulled out of the ground, so I put them back up 100 feet away..... at one polling station McCain/Palin signs were more than 100 ft. away and were kicked over.... I put those back up!

But I didn’t see any Obama/Biden signs and I was at 11 different polling locations!! And there were Obama people handing out pamphlets so they apparently didn’t buy enough signs for this area!!!

Waited 45 minutes to vote for McCain-Palin in Manhattan. It was chaos at 6:15am when I arrived, but things got semi-organized after a while. Heavy-turnout of the typical zombified Manhattan liberals, but not many young voters.

I voted two and a half weeks ago.
Didn’t care to go stand in line with the unwashed masses.

I just saw at the polling place... a guy voting while wearing an Obama baseball cap ...

You should have reported him. Back in 2004 when Peter Coors was running for Senate, they made me take off my uniform shirt.

I work at Coors.

Tried to vote this morning at 7:15 in a Philly suburb. The polling location is a church with a small main parking lot and a large "overflow" parking lot. I couldn't even pull in, as cars were backed up onto the street.

I couldn't wait that long, so I just went to work. I'll take an early lunch and try again. (I work close by).

In past elections, I'd never seen the small parking lot full, let alone any cars in the overflow lot. Usually I can walk in and there might be 2 or 3 people ahead of me.

This is a predominantly white suburb. Probably 95/5 ratio of whites to minorities. I don't say this to be racist, only to indicate what 98% of the black vote for Obama (the true racists) means in my area.

If Obama were to win this thing (which he will not), I think we would see a rush for the Leftists to start paying for everything. This would be an economic and political disaster, as taxes would go through the roof and the economy (as opposed to just the stock market) would go into the toilet.

The US is unusual in that 50% of the people are voting for goodies, but 80% of the country is still in the productive class. It is that 30% of the people who are still productive and paying taxes, but who are also standing around with their hands out looking for gummint money, who must be persuaded.

Whacky Baracky is not going to be able to give away all his gummint goodies without taxing these people as well. Hopefully they will do the math and figure out that for every dollar they are paying in new taxes, they are only getting a nickle back in “free” stuff, and they will come around.

Per the Big Mew, who voted while on the way into work in our little Upstate NY neck of the woods: Polling place was deader than a doornail, except for the seasoned citizen poll workers and two camera crews. Not sure what that means.

I was the 2nd person in line here in my town here in S.E. PA. My friend was first. We were there at 5:45. The line was around the church by 6:30. When we left the booths (she and I were next to each other) casting votes 1 and 2, I looked at her and said.. “We’re winning!!” :-) We “hi-fived” when we got outside.

Good luck all, hang in there.

Pennsylvania reporting in ... 10th in line at 6:35 a.m. with perhaps 50 people waiting when I left at 7:10 a.m. The Precinct expects a record turnout ... conservative, rural area with white/blue collar mix. On line were men and women in business attire with an equal number of sportsmen. No political talk ... just a dedication to vote. I'm looking for a McCain/Palin win in my area, just outside of Reading.

Well, it's done. After tossing and turning all night I got up at 4:30, coffee and FR. Paced around the house for a while and then headed off to the polls.

Our town in Mass. is slightly Republican majority in recent elections but in a sea of blue in surrounding communities. My polling place is a school with a 1/4 mile driveway. The drive in saw McCain/Palin signs every 20 ft, both sides of the road, only 4-5 Obama signs. I usually try to be the first vote cast and have generally been so for thirty years. Not even close this AM. There was a long line - 100 or so waiting. It was the biggest crowd I've seen in over 30 years of voting at that location.

Usually the early birds will have a word or two of greeting; the old familiar faces a bit more grab-assing. Everyone was deadly serious and not a word was spoken -- like waiting for an execution.

On the way out the long drive there was one Michael Moore clone trying to stab an Obama sign into the ground and at the entrance to the drive a middle-aged school teacher-ish woman waving an O sign desultorily at passing cars.

I have no feel for how it will turn out. Let us hope.
