With just hours to go before the polls open Tuesday, the latest and final IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll shows Sen. Barack Obama with a 7.2-point lead over Sen. John McCain (51.5% Obama vs. 44.3% McCain). All other candidates garner a combined 4.2%. This tally represents IBD/TIPPs final estimate after allocating undecided voters.

Looks like TIPP allocated about half of the remaining undecideds, breaking 2 for 1 in favor of Obama.
I think that's incorrect, but we'll know for sure in about 12 hours.
Crud. Wasn’t this the most accurate poll of 2004? Oh well, another one to be proven wrong today.
Doesn’t look good, but possibly a popular vote loss, electoral win.
probably just a pipe dream.
Oh darn, the final poll. I was so hoping for another year of daily tracking polls.
Okay, okay: Bada Ping.
What for I don’t know...
According to the internals Obama loses both the Protestant and Catholic vote, but wins the election.
undecided 2:1 for Obama ?
Obama = popular vote McCain = Electoral Vote
Uh, this poll is screwed up. They have Osama Hussein winning the South 46 to 44. Nonsense.
Still 20% of conservatives for Hussein. Bullcrap.
The Polls mean NOTHING without turnout.
If Christian value voters and conservatives turn out in droves, Palin-McCain wins.
Why would they give %4 of the undecideds to o and %1.9 to McCain? They just overtly skewed their own results on a random biased guess.
Obama’s got the atheist vote locked in.
..they all are--IBD just joined the club
Good morning from CA : -)
Now tell me what the poll was for Gore/Bush and Kerry/Bush at the same point in those elections.
The whole internals of that are screwed, just look at it, total mess, Obama is not getting 71% of the jewish vote either, neither is he winning the south.
Its also perceiving Obama taking 7% repubs and McCain only 6% Dems, lol, the pumas alone are more than that.
I smell bullsheeeeeeeeeet.
The 4.2% represents “other” not undecided. They seem to have allocated the undecideds somehow. BO only tops 50% when the undecideds are forced into a category.
