I'm standing in line (in the rain) in Richmond, Virginia. Where are you?
Just got in from my polling place in NJ3rd -longtime R Congressmen Jim Saxton retired, trying to protect from big spending Dem John Adler. We are a big republican town, the line was out the door of the Fire House at 6:00 opening.
my wife said there is a huge line where we vote and there has never been a line there before. mostly white and old people waiting in the rain to vote in VA.
I won’t be heading down until about 5:30 p.m.
Big line expected at the 7 a.m. poll opening in PA, particularly as the polling place is adjacent to a large senior citizen apartment building.
drove to the polling place at 5:40am, hoping to vote promptly at 6 when the polls open here in NoVA and get home to get my kid to school. the parking lot was jammed and there was a ton of people waiting in line. didn’t think i had time to wait and get back to get him up and out, so i came back and once the kids are all safely delivered will go back and just gut it out, as long as it takes to vote. i have never seen a full parking lot at my polling place, at that hour of the morning. I told my husband to go now as well, and not to chance waiting til later. Better to go now and just wait as long as it takes.
Very long lines in Arlington- heavy Dem area. GoinG to be late for work.
OMG!
I got at our polling place at 5:30 and there were already several hundred people lined up, wrapped around the school, parking lot full, and the other huge parking lot filling up on the other side of the street. ALOT of black people, I would say 80% black.
The kicker is the polling place has only SIX machines! They estimated the wait at 3-4 hours, maybe more. I have two busy toddlers, trying to push two strollers, carrying a large umbrella, etc. Very difficult if your a mom trying to vote!
My husband drove with us, but had to work, so we had to leave. I am going back around 10, if still not good then, when my husband gets home, we will all go together.
Last election, I didn’t get there until after 6:00 and I was 10th in line.
So DEFINITELY a BIG turn-out here.
happy BIRTHDAY and glad to hear it’s raining in Richmond!
I just got back from my polling place in Ct, does that count?
I was like the 10th in my polling place....I spread the wealth around between Republican, Conservative and Independent all of which could have been voted on under the Republican banner....
Wish me luck! ACORN already has lawyers here.
If you don't hear back from me by 9pm, I'll be in the ditch out back ;)
Thnx
Mobile device? KW T800/grin
BTTT Back at ‘cha!
(Wouldn’t it be funny if Obama was covered by the enemedia going in to vote and was turned away due to improper ID?)
“Don’t you know who I am?!”
In a blue part of Ohio. Line’s long and they seem unprepared.
They aren’t making people take ballots in the booth you can mark them anywhere on the premesis. The McCain people should hand out pens/pencils.....but not here.

That was really an unpleasant mental image none of us needed at this hour, LOL!
LOL, hold it down.
Standing in a long line in Manhattan. Huge turnout. The same crappy old voting machines from the 50s. The ones with the levers and curtain. It’s like a voting museum. In the 2004 election my machine was broken before 6:30 in the morning. I hope it works out a little better this time. There are way more people here this time. Almost all for obama undoubtedly.
Arrived 0530 in nva (obamaland)
Huge line but most people were in the wrong line because they are too stupid to even know their district
Out by 0615 - not bad
