I'm standing in line (in the rain) in Richmond, Virginia. Where are you?
Well, I voted for McCain already but how I admire you guys who live where it RAINS!!!!!!
I’m in dry hot dusty Phoenix Az, where the only weather report is sunny.
Well, I’m no longer in line.
Got to my polling place in Loudoun County Virginia at 0555. Done voting by 0630. Easy peasy.
I did almost have a heart attack when they couldn’t find my name in the book. I informed them that I voted there in the primary and the mid-term election. Turns out the records still have my maiden name. Then it occured to me, even though I was married last year I didn’t get my new driver’s license until April of this year. So I still gave my maiden name in the primary.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the young people that were there, just a handleful, mostly had the Republican sample ballot. Only the girl behind me had the Democrat’s version. It was her first election. She was excited. Hopefully she stays interested in voting, but wises up about her choices.
Update from outside Leesville, SC.
Long lines, at 8:05 husband reports 125 people in front of him. 6 machines, touch screen.
Chilly for this time of year, light rain off and on.
Excellent.
I was in line in Norcross, GA at 6:10 am and there were 155 people ahead of me. When polls opened at 7am there were at least 500 people there. I got out at 7:50 am after voting.
Well, you fooled me!
Motorola Q9 with Windows Mobile 6.1 from Verizon. Works fantastic in Pocket Internet Explorer, plus I can stream talk radio shows at talkstreamlive.mobi and watch youtube videos!
Just got back (Great Bridge part of Chesapeake). Took one hour from getting in line to actually voting. Channel 10 helicopter buzzing us. All three polling places I saw were PACKED. Lines all around the building. (There were three minorities present where I voted - I’m just saying.)
Praise Jesus. I heard that there are prayer groups positioned throughout Ohio praying for this election. May The Good Lord smile upon America and Israel today!
Just finished voting. Got in line at 7pm at my polling place in the People’s Republic of N. Virginia. The line was about 100 ft long and took 40 min to get through. When I left the line was maybe 50ft long. It’s impossible to compare to previous elections because I normally vote in the afternoon. Also the line cue configuration was different and mostly outside.
It’s suppose to rain this afternoon here which is good for McCain since this part of VA has 60%+ Obama. A nice turnout in SE could ring up a W for McCain here.
One other note of sheer liberal hypocrisy or media hysteria, maybe both: this year both paper (optical scan) and DIEBOLD electronic machines were available. Voters could choose either if they had a preference... and they did! Once you got through the ID cue, there was another line for the DIEBOLD electronic machines. There was NO line for the paper ballots the left wingers cried for after they concluded the DIEBOLD machines they previously cried for were programed to vote Bush and toss out Kerry votes. They all wanted the DIEBOLD machines. Go figure.
OK, DH just reported that it took him 25 minutes. He said he spoke with someone who does local state polling (North Carolina)that said our precinct only has 1600 registered voters so it isn’t a good representation. The particular area where we live has a lot of foreign nationals who should not be eligible to vote. She said Brier Creek had a 2-3 hour wait, if that helps you gauge what is going on in other parts of town.
Long, long lines here in North Central Louisiana - suburbs of Ruston. Wife went at 7 am but lines too long for her to vote before work. People were lined up BEFORE the polls opened. Never heard of that happening before.
Please Lord let this be a blessed day for our nation. In my heart I know there is something not right with Obama. I can feel it way down deep inside of me in a very unsettling way. I sincerely believe he is a vessel of evil to the point he isn't even aware of it. He scares the living hell out of me. Sending a huge E-hug to all of you. We can do this!!!!
REMEMBER!! DON'T LISTEN TO THE MSM FEED YU B.S. VOTE VOTE VOTE!! WE CAN DO THIS!! McCAIN AND PALIN!!!!
If my precinct in Norcross is any indication people who got there at 7am are going to be just getting to the voting stations at 10am. I was there at 610 and there was already over 150 people in front of me. When I left at 750, there were 300-400 behind me. The ballot in GA is fairly long, and they are able to get about 200 people an hour through the 8 voting stations... Not sure when the quietest time will be...
We were ‘sure’ we didn’t have to go early out here. Boy were we wrong. He’s going to page me when he gets out. He’s nearing 1 1/2 hours now! This is Republican turnout, we hope anyway!
I’m down by Hillwell. Praying with you!
In 2006 it was dead at my polling place. This morning was nuts. I’m the nw burbs of Chicago.
