Tackle the issue of media bias? There’s nothing to tackle...the horse is dead and I’m not interested in beating it. I hope the MSM outlets all go belly-up.

There is an adage that if the NYT starts saying nice things about you, if you are a conservative, then the election is over and you have lost. So, I am not sure what to make of this piece. Is the NYT about to get more leftist?

Irretrievably broken. Never again will the right believe the MSM. Even significant segments of the left distrust them.

A pox on their houses. I hope they all FAIL.

Conservative blogs should pool some money to create a mini-AP: paid reporters who do credible, non-biased reporting. They’d increase their readership and advertising dollars. Commentary is great, but we need actual reporting too.

I now simply refer to MSM hacks as press whores. Works for my friends, too. One wanted to know how they can report anything while they are giving Obama a Lewinsky.

You ever notice how conservatives claim to be conservative but liberals claim to be moderates?

The idea that there ever was, should be or even could be an unbiased media is a myth. News sources should just be honest about their editorial perspective and let the public sort it out.

"And young and ethnically diverse reporters and editors go easier on candidates who look more like them..."

There's another name for this phenomena, one these same reporters and editors use all the time to describe those who don't look like them, on the tip of my tongue... "racist", was it?...

My son is in “military intelligence”, I guarantee you these young people, especially those at the DLI learning a new language in a rather intense short period of time, are pretty darn smart.

MSM just feeling their oats as ‘king makers’.
They will join the ‘ash heap of history’ along with their ‘progressive’ buddies. The sooner they fail, the sooner we get back on track!
Smaller government!
Crush Crony Capitalism!
More individual liberty and economic freedom!

The legitimacy of an election depends on an informed electorate. Under this rubric, the corporate media jumped it in the 70’s. If they don’t care, then why should I? To hell with them.

I’ve thought about the media, and the damage they’ve done to our nation. I’m saddened by their abuse of the right of a free press. But, there is one thing that can force them to do their job, or go out of business - MONEY. Folks, we still have the power. Our ability to purchase may be the only power we still have left in thisw country. So, why don’t we take on the MSM and hit them where it hurts. We keep seeing how they have had to cut back on staff, how their companies are teetering on the brink of extinction, how the Hollywood movies are being watched by less and less folks. Why can’t we, in an organized way, just stop buying any products that they advertise? We could keep a running list on FR, and then daily e-mail out that list to all our friends, so that they would know which products and companies to boycott. I know some of you will laugh at this notion, but what else can we do? We could start with the NYT, LAT, and then turn our attention to NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, etc. What do your think?
