Sarah Palin on Sunday punched the liberal media yet again. And this time it looks like she connected.
Hopping on comments promoted by conservative blogs, Palin said the media are trying to hide Barack Obama's comments that his pollution proposal could bankrupt coal plants.
The audio of the interview with the San Francisco Chronicle is here.
The germane part of the interview:
"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. Its just that it will bankrupt them because theyre going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas thats being emitted."

Unfortunate that she has the word “huge” and “all that greenhouse gas” so close together. Makes it sound like the coal plants and other man-made sources contribute a lot to the greenhouse gases.
The effective greenhouse gas effect that mankind contributes is about 0.25% of the total annual greenhouse gases emissions. It is minuscule. I showed my kids this awhile ago by coloring in 1/4 of a copper penny with white-out - put in in the midst of 99 regular pennies and asked “How much does that bit of white affect the overall color of the pile of pennies”?
Note that whenever the greenies talk about greenhouse gases in it ALWAYS in TONS, not percentages. You know - like spewing 1.5 MILLION TONS per day (week, year - whatever). Hey that's a LOT of tons - it HAS to be bad.
This breaks the Sunday before election. I am not hopeful that it will get enough play to be useful. But then again, I live in WA, so who knows.
A planet that understands subtle sarcasm - apparently you are from a different planet.
Just as George Orwell said in his novel 1984. All animals are equal; some animals are more equal than others.
You just answered your own question...
Um, that was from “Animal Farm”....
You absolutely right. I discussed both books with a friend this morning and had the wrong one in my head. Thanks for the correction.
If everyone hasn’t already voted :(
this early voting is out of control....
That was fast....
JUST LIKE HIS BUDDY HUSSEIN. OH, WAIT...
Imagine where McCain might be now if his stupid campaign morons hadn’t squelched Palin for months except for two sessions with left wing zealots Couric and Gibson.
Think “antichrist.” There, that’ll do it.
You got it. He is a typology of the Anti-Christ, though not the main one. He is easily exposed as a lying SOB
or if Barry had kept his word and stuck to public financing....
“..coal miners are union guys”
Ok....Joe the Coal Miner, please stand up!!!
There will not be a middle class when they get all their ducks in a row.
"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. Its just that it will bankrupt them because theyre going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas thats being emitted."
Said Palin on Sunday:
"Why is the audio tape just now surfacing? This interview was given to San Francisco folks many, many months ago. You should have known about this, so that you would have better decision-making information as you go into the voting booth."
CNN and other media on Sunday made a point of saying that the audio recording has been available for months.
However, a visit to the San Francisco newspaper's Web site shows two things.
-- First, the audio recording does not contain any information about Obama's cap-and-trade proposal, the controversial part that's now getting attention.
Instead, the newspaper chose to highlight three other issues discussed by Obama.
-- Second, the news story produced by the newspaper the day after the interview does not contain any mention of Obama's plan for coal-fired power plants.
