With two days to go before the election, Barack Obama spoke with messianic zeal before an estimated 80,000 people in Cleveland this afternoon who were drawn by a free acoustic concert by Bruce Springsteen.
AFP reports Obama riffed on Springsteen's closing song, The Rising, when he took the stage:
"A rising is coming," Obama said after Springsteen exclaimed to deafening cheers: "I want my country back, I want my dream back, I want my America back!"
The Rising was written about the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 and was the title song of Springsteen's cathartic album released the year after the attacks. Obama and Springsteen's use of the song at Obama's political rallies perverts the song to equate the Bush presidency with the 9/11 attacks.
Obama, equating his presidency as "a rising" is treading on blasphemous territory, territory he knows well from Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger.
Obama's cry he wants his America back is laughable, unless he's talking about the America that his wife suddenly became proud of earlier this year when Obama's victory was more assured.
For openers, Barry, you are not an American. I hope you are deported back to Kenya or Indonesia, whichever is your true country of citizenship. How soon can we get a deportation order for this illegal immigrant?
About these poll results that lean so heavily toward Obama/Biden .....
Up to 4 in 5 people contacted are refusing to participate (this really concerns the pollsters) ..... who ARE these folks? My guess is they are NOT enthusiastic about/ARE worried about Obama, because the Obamacons are just SO excited they WANT to take polls and LAVISH the LOVE upon their Dear Leader ...... the refusers may or may not be FOR McCain at this moment .....
and .....
The raw data from the polls is WEIGHTED according to the PERCEIVED strong advantage that Democrats have over Republicans in new/overall registrations (you know, Mickey and Minnie .... local dead folks, felons, Dallas Cowboys, Jimmy registering 73 times etc ...)
so .....
Tune out, tune out, tune out the polls and the pundits
and ....
TURN OUT, TURN OUT, TURN OUT the VOTE !
WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
GO McCAIN/ PALIN 2008!
Kristinn, get a load of this. Here’s an article saying that there was 80,000 people at this rally in today in Cleveland. No there was not — I was there. Where are they getting their information from? I can’t post the article because of copyright issues, but here’s the link:

So is, Harriet Christian, a PUMA lady. I will take her over any of the Obama/Springstein crowd. She looks like a fighter!
"Older American citizen, second-class citizen, non-existent citizen and New York resident, Harriet Christian, got thrown out of the Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting".
"Bruce Springsteen is one of those people," he said, before a heavy rainstorm erupted on the open-air crowd said by Cleveland's director of public safety to number 80,000."
Excuse me, but I was there. It was just a little sprinkle for a short time. Gees.
I agree. I used to be a HUGE Springsteen fan, today he just sounded whiny. And to use his song title..he was living “Glory Days “! ha.
What country does he “want back?” How about the country that made him a millionaire many times over? How about the country of has been boomers who still pay for his boring concerts to watch him strout around in his aging steroid body?
WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!
ROFLMAO!
Lord Action: Power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
They’re including the amount of people at the Browns game today. The vast majority of them went straight home after the rally. Hardly any joined the rally. Again, I was there.
LOL. The article is from France. LOL.
Obamas America of woodstock. Poor Baby missed out on the 60s so he has to recreate them. Keep the change, Nobama.
Zombies make great fighters.
“”A rising is coming,” Obama said after Springsteen exclaimed to deafening cheers: “I want my country back, I want my dream back, I want my America back!”
Then get out of McCain’s way and get a real job..
Save because every time this photo is posted there should be a supporting date and place cited.
Apparently, the media in France doesn't understand the importance of Browns Football (and especially one against the rival Ravens). It dwarfs Obambi's free concert (heck, a Parma High School football game dwarfs Obambi's appearance IMHO).
Yep. That’s EXACTLY what happened. I made a point of watching from the 29th floor of my building how many people left the stadium and went to the rally. Nearly everyone, and I mean everyone, got in their cars and headed home. I watched them do it. I was surprised how little of the people leaving the stadium actually joined the rally since they were right there. LOL.
"my country back". what era is he looking fondly on?
Barry was only 8 years old when he was a boy in the 1960s so he couldn't have been talking about THAT America. Besides there was segregation and riots.
Maybe its the one that Bill Ayers was blowing up in the 1970s? The time when Barack was smoking dope and snorting blow if some was around.
Was it the 1980s when Ronald Reagan was in the White House? We'd ALL like to see that again.
How about the 1990s when Bill Clinton was in the White House, the president could get blow jobs while deploying troops overseas on the phone, and international Islamic terrorists were blowing up the WTC, American embassies, navy ships, etc.?
He certainly isn't talking about the past 8 years of GW Bush.
So Barry Soeroto? Which AMERICA of your lifetime DO you want back?
I think Odinga called for an uprising too, during his election protests:
``We have a solemn obligation to take care of and add value to the country we have inherited. All of us,`` said Odinga. ``The people of Kenya now have an historic duty to each other and the nation, to rise up together through a popular movement to remove a backward, undemocratic, inefficient, corrupt, authoritarian system, and to usher in its wake a new, popular, democratic order, where the people are firmly in solidarity with each other”.
That picture should have been the end of his campaign.
Gosh, you're bringing back some memories. I spent my first 42 years in the Cleveland area. Grew up in Parma, had season tickets to the Browns in the 1980's when Brian Sipe was Quarterback. I went to the first 3 Cleveland 500 races at Burke Lakefront Airport. Many great times there.
You got your dream... jackass! $500 million worth of dreams! You ready to share that with us assclown!!!
