Imagine if John McCain had whispered somewhere that he was willing to bankrupt a major industry? Would this declaration not immediately be front page news? Well, Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview has been hidden from the public...until now.........
.........Here is the transcript of Obama's statement about bankrupting the coal industry (emphasis mine):
Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.
That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.
The only thing I've said with respect to coal, I haven't been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a (sic) ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them.
Amazing that this statement by Obama about bankrupting the coal industry has been kept under wraps until this time.
Coal is our largest single source of electricity in America and Obama wants to bankrupt the industry. He really does want to make us a 3rd world country.
Sounds like whe wants to make us like Zimbabwe.
BTTT
This tape needs to be played on every radio and tv station in Pennsylvania 24 x 7.
OBAMA TELLS SAN FRANCISCO HE WILL INTENTIONALLY BANKRUPT THE COAL INDUSTRY!!!
And isn't it interesting that Barry's popping off to SF again...
How fast can McCain get this made into an ad to run in the coal states? This would be great in OH, PA, etc.
How did the Republican party not have this several months ago? Unless, . . . it was planned. Some news gets old and forgotten. This won’t be old or forgotten on tuesday.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.” (Obama)
The MSM has got to realize their credibility has been shot completely. Between Dan Rather, the oh so trusted news guy for decades and now every newspaper, tv station and internet site coddling and going out of their way to protect one candidate while completely destroying another...
I hope they like what they have done. I doubt they have or will.
Put this on Fox. Please.
This needs to be made into a TV Ad and played every hour in PA, OH and CO until Tuesday.
Does anyone know if they can make this into a TV Ad?
I don’t know, but it’s good to have some ammo saved for the last couple of weeks when the campaign is at it’s highest pitch.
Had this been made public a few months ago, it would have been seen/heard by less people and have been forgotten by now.
Well I happen to live in Massachushits and the majority of the voters are idiots. just look at the people they put and maintain in political office.
Although the same story from different sources these duplicate threads are important enough to stay up at the top!
Obama shares the exact same world view and political philosophy as Robert Mugabe. He also shares his profound ignorance of economics. He isn’t just wrong, he has absolute faith in utterly insane ideas. He’s a vandal not a world builder.
Follow the juggling act of “redistribution” for a few years and we will be far down the same road of utter ruin that Zimbabwe has taken.
Thanks. I hope this video goes viral.
