Where did the Zogby’s Special Sauce reference come from? I googled it and found that it’s been around for years, but whence did it come?

I hear Clinton used a special sauce, maybe he sold it to Zog.

I'm really not sure when the Zogby Special Sauce term originated. I'm pretty sure it was from a fellow Freeper. I had to dig that image out of the deep recesses of my hard drive. I created it in 2000 for the election then and I sort of seem to remember it originating about that time. It is now a classic! :)

The problem is that none of these polls are either reliable or responsible.

McCain’s numbers always go down on the weekend.
____________________________________________________________

The problem is that idiots like Zog and Ras DO NOT mention this as a disclaimer. Weekend polls are not very accurate. They know it but will not say anything.

Both of them are garbage peddlers.

McCain hasn’t, but I donated yesterday at GOPtrust.com and those guys are—hard. RW commercial is all over the swing states this weekend. I think it will be especially effective in VA.

When you get outside the world of FR and Drudge readers, I know many who are voting Obama that you wouldn’t expect. There is big support out in America beyond African Americans and liberals. People who just want something different and will pull the Dem lever without thinking things through.

THAT ("FR GroupThink") is EXACTLY what worries me.

Birds of a feather flock together..but what's the rest of the world outside of our small little microcosm here on FR thinking?

If nothing else, the constant ONSLAUGHT of Poll News (whether WE believe it or not) is gonna influence the sheeple. I just hope that it doesn't suppress turnout, as it's going to be hard enough to overcome all the vote fraud, without our side being kept home by "Poll Despair".

I think we need to admit that, based on what people are telling pollsters, we are losing. Our hope relies on the possibility that either people are not telling pollsters the truth, or that there is some sort of sytemic sampling error that no polls have been able to avoid.

I think the only hope we have is that Obama wins by a slight margin. A big win will be a mandate for this egomaniac who has been very clear where he will take this country, if he gets a huge win, he will use it to clobber this nation.

I have noticed that politics is the new entertainment for many people. THey seem to thrive on political scandal, intrigue, etc. I don’t think they want peaceful bipartisan politics.

They seem to want politics to be full of drama. They loved the Clinton years.

A superficial tv addled non reading populace with no sense or knowledge of history. They would vote Obama for trivial reasons and just to see what electing him would mean in entertainment value.

Something dreadful has happened to our citizenry. I blame poor education and television.

I think very hard economic times will either make us by bringing back the virtues of our parents and grandparents or will break us by electing a stealth fascist.

Even a close win by obomber + 60 rats in senate will provide his “mandate” and America will sink deeper into marxism and recession. He will grant amnesty to 30 million illegals and keep the rats in power forever...unless WE rise up and put down this commie coup.

Combine that with new polls for FL, MN, and PA and I think it’s pretty clear there is no substantial move to McCain. He may have closed the gap from embarassing to just plain, losing, but truth is he’s never been closer than 5 points for any length of time.

IF McCain manages to win, every single pollster is out of business, which is why I don’t think they are all wrong.

21% of Conservatives do not support Obama.

In fact, I have not met a single Conservative or Republican that supports Obama here in NC.

I think the order in which the questions are asked tends to put the “who are you voting for?” ahead of the “describe your political leanings?”.

Either Operation Chaos is working in the POTUS question but honesty emerges in later questions, OR, Democrats are gaming the “leanings” question.
