Two well-known Canadian pranksters tricked Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin into thinking she was on the phone today with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The conversation, captured on a Montreal radio program, was, in a word, embarrassing. (Politico's Ben Smith was among the first to pick up on reports from The Canadian Press.)
The fake Sarkozy buttered Palin up by telling her he hoped she would become president some day. "Haha, maybe in eight years," Palin replied. Then the conversation turned to helicopter hunting, with a mention of Vice President Dick Cheney's infamous bad shot.
"One of my favorite activities is to hunt, too," the fake Sarkozy said. "Oh, very good, we should go hunting together," Palin replied, adding, "I think we could have a lot of fun together as we're getting work done. We could kill two birds with one stone that way."
"I just love killing those animals! Taking away life, that is so fun," the Sarkozy impersonator said.
Palin laughed.
"As long as we don't bring Vice President Cheney," the jokester said. "I'll be a very careful shot, don't worry," Palin said, laughing.

And Biden, whom you’ve never deigned to criticize is demonstrably dumber than Palin, but the media insists on telling us how brilliant he is.
She's not even as smart the average freeper. Surely you realize that most freepers could name the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Washington Times.
Admit it. You know that's the truth. But she couldn't. She is not going to be the savior of the right wing of this party. She just doesn't have what it takes.

I heard it on MSNBC. One of the campaign workers finally took the phone from her and hung up. It was SOOOOOOO obvious that she didn't know she was being pranked when the guy finally told her.

Seriously, I haven’t been here long but I already recognize a couple people who haven’t posted anything but to bash Sarah.
If I recall, she wasn't asked to rattle off the names of newspapers, she was asked which publications she regularly READS. She doesn't read any of them and stammered a bit at the question.
I don't READ any of the major newspapers or magazines either, do YOU? You get them all delivered to your door?

I think she's a nice lady, and a classy one. I think she politely handled what became a very weird call.

How can a Freeper stand to watch that channel? Long enough to get a Sarah Palin story out of it? I can’t stomach it for more than a few minutes. I can take CNN longer than MSNBC. Heck they even showed that MSNBC only showed like 14% negative for Obama, but 75% negative for Sarah Palin.

It was freaking funny. I don’t get the big deal. If anything it just makes her look like a nice person because she seemed genuinely amused to have been pranked. This is like the Philly’s gaffe the other day, stop making this stuff so evil and serious, its okay to laugh at yourself, Gov Palin gets this so why do so many of her supporters seem to lack that sense of humor?
God help us if Palin is the future of the Republican party. She’s got a place in it, but not as our presidential nominee.
