A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.
Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.
TV station WJBK, Fox 2 News says a sign outside Nagels house warned: No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters.
Nagel calls Democrat Barack Obama scary. When asked about children who were turned away empty-handed and crying, she said: Oh well. Everybody has a choice.
There were kids as young as 4 years old that went away crying because she wouldnt give them any candy.
if you’re going to give away free candy for free anyway...don’t say you’re not going to give because of your parents. It just made her look like a witch and the Obama people looked like the poor victims
This woman is just mean.
Interrogating and indoctrinating little kids about politics is something that should be left to liberals. (Actually, we should oppose it and not practice it ourselves, either.)
Okay, this has been killing me for a while now.
What’s a PUMA?
Come on people...let’s keep it together. This is the kind of stuff I expect from the other side. We don’t need this...
PUMAs are the Hillary Clinton supporters who are now for Sarah Palin.
At first they were ticked about the way that Hillary was treated and felt the DNC crowned the big 0 and cheated Hillary.
Then when Sarah was nominated, they went NUTS for her. It ticked them even more that she was treated like crap. These ladies are manning McCain headquarters in FL, are on fire and winning FL for us.
We love our PUMAs. Drop them some cash if you get a chance.

I’m here in Detroit and just saw the report on Fox2News. I said the same thing.
She made us look bad. She should have handed out the McCain/Palin stuff with the candy to EVERY kid. It’s not the kids fault that their parents are dillweeds.
That being said, my daughter refused to go to any house that had “Support Issue 2” signs. That is the change in the MI consitution to allow all stem cell research. She is very smart.
AHH! Gotcha. Thank you.
I saw this woman interviewed by Fox at her door. What a stupid b!#c%! No possible result other than to push some undecided parents over to Obama.
The article says she lives in Grosse Pointe Farms. It’s Wayne County, not Macomb, and the zip would be 48236.
She is most likely a different Nagel.
The ghetto kids come out to the suburbs for safer, more productive trick or treating. Its all good. We enjoy them.
But a couple of years ago we had a brother and sister team. The boy had street clothes on and a red dot on his forehead. The little girl had some dirt on her face. She said her brother was a “dead playa.” I asked her who she was and she said: “I got beat up.”
No Problem, my FRiend!
No, this is not the same Shirely Nagel that donated to the Dems. I posted that upthread.
The one that contributed lives in a different city.
Go to whitepages.com. and plug in their names. The one in the news story lives in Grosse Point.
It is smart to distance the campaign from this woman. It’s not that she’s just mean, she’s not someone you want on your side (not exactly playing with a full deck).
That's not conclusive proof they are different people. She might own two houses.
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

He then rallied the Newsmen
With bold lies they sang out
Pulling his wagon
They were in love with the lout!
They have different middle initials.
Your turn.
The link works, I just tried it. But it doesn't matter because the site lists a Shirley Nagel of Macomb and her political contributions to the Dems. The Shirley Nagel in the video obviously lives in GPF..........
However, I might be wrong.........it won't be the first time.
