Barack Obama's aunt, who lives in a Boston housing project, has made illegal donations to his campaign this year, the campaign acknowledges.
The donations are against the law because Zeituni Onyango, a half-sister of Obama's father, is a citizen of Kenya, The Times of London reported. Campaign laws require all donors to U.S. political campaigns to be U.S. citizens.
The Obama campaign said Onyango contributed a total of $265 and all the money would be returned, CNN reported.
In his book, "Dreams From My Father," Obama described his meeting with Onyango in Kenya in 1988.
"'Welcome home', Zeituni said, kissing me on both cheeks," Obama said.
But Onyango told the Times she had spent much of her time in the United States.
"I have been coming to America ever since 1975," she said. "I always come and go."
A U.S. wires service reported Friday that a judge four years ago rejected Onyango's asylum application and ordered her to leave the United States. The Obama campaign said the candidate knows nothing of his aunt's immigration status and that all illegal contributions would be returned.
Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has asked Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to determine if information on Obama's aunt was illegally leaked, CNN said.

Yes, it is amazing how quickly Conyers, et al, can make an accusation of anti-Obama people looking into official government files. Dems are never concerned when people connected to Republicans have their private records exposed.

Can someone tell John Conyers to go.....I despise that man! Why don’t you ask Chertoff to see if the crap on Joe the Plumber was done illegally. And why would Chertoff be involved? Because she’s illegal?
The trickier question is, when she was asked to leave four years ago, she is still able to qualify for low income housing!
Generally these "renters" are asked plethora of questions in order to qualify!!

IIRC, I had just heard of someone who was in danger of being deported because they had illegally registered to vote, without being a legal citizen. She said the got the form at the DMV and hadn’t realized she couldn’t register (she never actually voted) If 0bama’s aunt has registered (and/or voted) she needs to be treated the same way!
Screw Conyers. These buttwipes and their media minions have spared no expense tracking down the records of Governor Palin and Joe-the-Plumber.
I want to know EVERYTHING about this illegal alien! I'm calling my congressman and senators for a full investigation. I don't care who conducts it, or how it is done. Use my tax dollars for something worthwhile for a change. I'm so pissed that I may even contact my ex-wife's attorney. That way, I KNOW we'll get to the bottom of this!
