Thank the Lord. Staring at the back of my clock all summer was annoying.

Sleep an hour later tomorrow. Tell that to my dogs. They'll be barking for food a 5:30 rather than 6:30 on Sunday morning. Sigh...

Maybe this is just a rant...and if so, please forgive me...but I can't stand Daylight Savings Time.
Why can't they just leave the clocks alone? My wife's dad, for a college creative writing paper, investigated how and why DST came to be.
It was so people could keep from using their candles to provide light. It was for saving CANDLES.
Do you use candles to provide light? No?
Then there's no reason for DST.
(Only one personal disadvantage for Standard Time: I'll now have to walk to the train station from work in the dark. *sigh* Oh well...)

On the other hand, 0bamunists will “turn their clocks forward” every year, until they are in the same time zone as the Germans.

I love these long weekends. (49 hours).
Just got my wife’s heirloom clock back from the shop (busted mainspring + cleaning + face repainting). Trying to adjust the pendulum, a tricky proposition.

Nice thought but it takes about a month of hell to get my body and brain on the new time thing. I'll be up at 4:30 instead of 5:30...raring to go...
The whole thing is absolutely, utterly stupid...

I work the weekends. For years, I worked with another lady on the weekends. Every time change (twice per year, whether forward or back) for years, she would never be on time. LOL.
