Update: Fox news is reporting that Obama's pollster is confirming the results discussed here. In a memo sent to the Florida ground operation, he confirms that the polls are tightening up and that GOTV operations are critical and in need of resources in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Virginia. He says that resources are less of a problem in Pennsylvania. When contacted by Fox, he confirmed the McCain release, "McCain is right".

Yes you have!!! Thanks for being such an uplifter during such dark times.
If McCain pulls this off, I will be watching msnbc for the first time in years just to watch Chris Matthews cry. Same for the alphabet networks.
I had exactly the same reaction to many of the early voting reports coming out of Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. In North Carolina, the early reports were quite alarming: over 35% black turnout in the first days of early voting. Oh no, we’re gonna lose! But now so many other voters have voted early that the over black vote is now only a point or two over the 2004 numbers and election day hasn’t even arrived yet. At those levels, McCain should win comfortably in North Carolina.
Very good news!
I could live with that.
I’ve been planning for a couple of months to get a lot of sleep, make a full pot of coffee and read the DUmmie posts until my eyes bleed election night.
Titanic? :-)
Thanks John!
good place to bump this thread
Ha ha, I do hope that is what the Obamanation’s campaign will look like on Tuesday — on fire, drifting to destruction, shattered by the McCain/Palin dive bombers.....
An excerpt from Emerson Lake & Palmers epic “Pirates”:
....
Make fast the guns tonight we sail
When the high tide floods the bay
Cut free the lines
And square the yards
Get the black flag stowed away
The Turk the arab and the Spaniard
Will soon have pennies on their eyes
And any other laden fancy
We will take her by surprise
I will take you and make you
Everything you’ve ever dreamed
Six days off the Cuban coast
When a sail ahead they spied
A galleon of the treasure fleet
The mizzen lookout cried
Closer to the wind my boys
The mad eyed captain roared
For every man that’s alive tonight
Will be hauling gold aboard.
“Spare us!” the galleon begged
But mercy’s face had fled
Blood ran from the screaming souls
The cutlass harvested
Driven to the quarter deck
The last survivor fell
She’s ours my boys
The captain grinned
And no one left to tell.
The captain rose from a silk divan
With a pistol in his fist
And shot the lock from an iron box
And a blood red ruby kissed
I give you jewelry of turquoise
A crucifix of solid gold
One hundred thousand silver pieces
It is just as I foretold
You, you see there before you
Everything you’ve ever dreamed.
........
Who’ll drink a toast with me?
I give you liberty.
This town is ours - tonight!
Trouble is, intellectually each represents an ideology from which fall out a logical unpacking of fundamental premises. The doctrines of liberalism and conservatism fit together like puzzle pieces within their respective worldviews, but parts from one cannot be interchanged with parts from another. They are like oil and water.
Thus, BOR in his ungainly straddling act of "no spin" and yet doing it in a such a manner that he himself has a political leg in the pool rather than as detached and academic (which would not make for good broadcasting to a popular audience), ends up playing the fool.
My best advice to anyone on this matter: don't worry about what others are doing. Just do the right thing yourself.
